So, what kind of education does your nice home have??? (Feb 3, 2009 | post #27)
Right...unless they share an opinion too different from yours. Perhaps you might be happier if you quit looking for opportunities to be offended. (Feb 2, 2009 | post #16)
Well, that's your opinion and you are certainly entitled. Personally, I found the game to be much too easy. With a little practice, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it! Peace! (Feb 1, 2009 | post #9)
So is there some kind of cannon or something that shoots the hookers? What is the firing rate of this hooker gun? Sounds like it could be fun. I guess you load them so they go out feet first so the clear hooker platform high-heel shoes do some damage to the target. (Feb 1, 2009 | post #5)
Cameltoe, you missed the entire point of my post! There is no class envy, whining, or anything else of the sort on my part. On the contrary, I live for free enterprise as well as liberty for all. Apparently, your sarcasm detector is off, or perhaps you have no sense of humor, otherwise you would have realized I just hate Starbucks! Peace to you, Cameltoe! (Jan 31, 2009 | post #87)
Meanwhile, as Starbucks proceeds with aggressive cost-containment measures to meet FY5009 goals of $500M savings, including the elimination of up to 7,000 additional jobs, SBUX top execs continue to enjoy their "perks." SBUX recently took delivery of a new luxury corporate jet, a Gulfstream G550 at an estimated cost of $45 million. The new jet brings the fleet total to three. Average fuel consumption, at 400 gallons per hour, plus crew costs, brings average cost per flight hour of the jet to roughly $2500.00. So, to Starbucks patrons, keep on buying the crapee-frapees, talls, ventis and grandes. Trips on the G550 are depending on you! (Jan 29, 2009 | post #73)
Keep digging your mother-in-law a hole! You said it yourself, the previous DON quit due to the conditions. She did exactly what I said a professional, moral and ethical nurse would do under those conditions. Another question comes up based on your response. Why wasn't your mother-in-law named DON??? When you think of another way to deflect responsibility, let me know! Have a nice day! (Jan 23, 2009 | post #73)
Pot, Kettle, Black sound familiar??? FYI, I never showed up for work under the influence of anything stronger than coffee. As far as state surveys are concerned, emergency surveys are not announced, preventing the scenario you outlined. Secondly, charts remain in the facility when a resident is sent to the hospital, which allows a good surveyors to follow timelines during a chart audit. I worked in LTC for almost 10 years. Believe me, if things in that facility were nearly as bad as your post indicates, attempts to whitewash discrepancies would be obvious to even a rookie surveyor. Now for your mother-in-law, perhaps my assessment is wrong, but your post provides nothing to support that assumption. Rather, the way your post was composed. your mother-in-law was guilty of personal, professional, moral and ethical violations by working in the facility alone, without at least one CNA. She should have contacted the DON and Administrator Have a nice day! (Jan 12, 2009 | post #70)
Your mother-in-law, if she does nothing but complain to you about the conditions in this facility, is doing a very poor job of advocating for the health and safety of her patients. She know snacks are not passed? How does she know this? "Open sores as big as coffee saucers," do not suddenly appear overnight. As a registered nurse, your mother-in-law knows exactly who needs to be contacted as far as violations of state regulations is concerned. It makes me sick to know that nurses like your mother-in-law are allowed to continue to practice while my license was suspended because of administrative reasons. The nursing board established, what I interpreted as precedent, telling me when I needed a "p" test. I thought that gave them a better picture that I was clean since I went when they told me to go, truly random. My administrator and director of nursing testified in my behalf. I guess I had the wrong lawyer. That was a lifetime ago, but it still angers me because patients are receiving substandard care. (Jan 8, 2009 | post #68)
Hey, I'm on the south side, Sounds like you have some growing up to do as well. Either that, or you could be grape's illegitimate brother, based on your writing skills. Want some of me too??? (Jan 3, 2009 | post #82)
So, how do I push you over the line? Put your money where your mouth is! (Jan 3, 2009 | post #108)
Well, if you want to keep it going, get used to it. Admit that she bears some measure of culpability for her own demise. As long as you hold on to anger and blaming the police, you prolong your misery. If she was indeed the great woman you folks claim her to be, would she tell you to seek revenge? Would she tell you to forgive the officer for doing her job? (Jan 2, 2009 | post #93)
