The reality of the american pit bull
nice timing huh? any objective person that reads these strings can see i kicked your asses. All you did was post falsehoods and opinions while I stuck with the facts on the points I made. It was clear you were getting your asses kicked when you began posting insults. As far as I'm concerned THIS string is closed, but hey, I supposed i could cut and paste a few old posts like you have done. lol (10 hrs ago | post #62)
Pit bulls ' the dangerous canine'
How about a little common ground? I think we can all agree that the owners should be held responsible for the actions of the dog. (but maybe I'm wrong lol) On the "lover" side. You've stated many times that its NEVER the dogs fault and if thats true, then the owner is at fault and should do some hard time. On the "hater" side (and btw, just because someone thinks the dogs are dangerous doesn't mean they hate them) I believe if enough people had to do some jail time for their dog killing someone then they would think twice about owning...an overly aggresive dog. Just trying to send things in a new direction because i see ya'll are doing the cut and paste again with your old posts. lol (10 hrs ago | post #350)
down at the park, right next to the slides. lol (Friday Dec 4 | post #3)

showing your age, antifreeze won't do it any more. I could tell you what will, but thats probably not a good idea. lol wow, I'm disappointed this string has started up again, I won't have time to play for another couple weeks. :-( (Friday Dec 4 | post #325)
The reality of the american pit bull
yeah, lets not do the "spelling thing" thats the lowest form of message board trolling. I never claimed to be perfect (just close to it lol) Thanks for the link. :-) First I'll say congrats to your side, you FINALLY made an attempt to post something REAL that could shoot down one of my posts...oh wait, an outsider posted the report...never mind. lol In looking into this...report if you can call it that, I noticed first off that it was over a year old and its a top story on ch 6 now?? Doesn't say much for that station. lol Second this "study" was in the form of an "extensive online survey" lol give me a break! heres a quote of what I found For one part of the survey, owners were asked to report on whether or not their dog nips, or tries to attack, unfamiliar (stranger) humans, owners, or other dogs, including whether or not their dog exhibits any rivalry toward other canines in general. How many owners of big dogs do you think told the truth. and if you people are examples of pit bull sellers, ah, I mean owners, then I can see most pit owners as not FACING the truth even to themselves. Third, the survey was with such small numbers it is totally useless. For example, the akita was listes as #4 but only 1 yes, that is ONE akita owner was surveyed. So that one dog owner made his dog breed the 4th most aggresive dog? Even you people know thats flawed. lol This...study was nothing but a joke. So who you gonna believe, the CDC (thats the center for DISEASE control I admit, I don't read through my stuff when i'm done lol) OR some joker who surveyed MAYBE a couple 100 dog owners? nice try though. lol wait for it... . . POINTS FOR ME! lol in case you want to check my facts http://blogs.disco very.com/news_anim al/2008/06/the-mos t-and-le.html (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #55)

The reality of the american pit bull
my apologies, apparently ya'll are missig me. lol So lets get right to it. In the other string I posted that a simple google search shows that pit bulls bite more often than other dogs (possibly as high as one third of all bites. Your post, I assume, is an attempt to discredit that. So...lets start with this http://www.dogsbit e.org/blog/2009/07 /pit-bulls-lead-bi te-counts-across-u s.html and heres a clip of "the good stuff" lol
City and county animal control departments in at least 16 U.S. states report that pit bulls are biting more than all other dog breeds. These states include: Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. The often-quoted myth by pro-pit bull groups that pit bulls "do not bite more than other breeds" is categorically false. In addition to the fact that pit bulls are the leading biters, the pit bull bite is also the most likely dog bite to inflict serious and disfiguring injury. Last updated 10/10/09.
and just in case you think that was biased for some reason, we have an indepth study of dog bites from 1982 to 2006. These stats were collected from the CDC. The report not only shows that pit bulls are responsible for more bites than any other dog (about one third...waddya know lol) it also shows that pits are more likely to KILL when they do attack. http://www.dogbite law.com/Dog%20Atta cks%201982%20to%20 2006%20Clifton.pdf stick that in your dog bowl and smoke it. I had to look them up. At 40 bucks a box they are to steep for..."target practice" I LOVE their description though. lol "CORŽBON's Bonded Core Soft Points are designed to retain their weight and stay together while crushing through heavy bone and tissue in large game. CORŽBON's Penetrator and Hard Cast loads are designed for very large, tough-skinned and heavy-boned animals. The Penetrator loads use a heavy, full jacket with a hard linotype core. The Hard Cast load is made from a hard linotype lead with a proven LBT nose design. These two loads cause a through-and-throug h hole, breaking even the heaviest bones." (Sunday Nov 22 | post #15)
I disagree (of course) This guy is in the right place. I mean after all, how many bites will he get by just saying "car for sale" lol the make and model would be a nice addition. (Sunday Nov 22 | post #12)
I've thought about trying that, but figured it would wind up costing more in the end. Thanks, next time I'll give that a shot. (Sunday Nov 22 | post #11)
