I for one Love Sarah Palin. My husband's family has been for as long as we have been married and that is 26 years, yellow dog democrat. Which means if a yellow dog were running for President they would vote for the yellow dog. This year the dog changed colors and each and every member of his family of 8 children and each married with many children and grandchildren are all voting for McCain/Palin in Ohio. Why? Cause they cannot stand Obama! YIPPEE! (Tuesday Sep 16 | post #376)
21, 18 and 15 are no longer children. They can choose to be obese by over eating. It is no longer your fault. What I meant is a child who is dependent on a parent for their food should be fed healthy foods and not permitted to just eat to eat. (Jul 20, 2008 | post #17)
Sorry but an obese child to me is the fault of the parent. I believe that a child should not be permitted to eat out of boredom or to be given sugar/carb laden foods that are just fillers and have no nutrition. Children are a gift and we need to train them. That means teaching them what is healthy and what is not. (Jul 17, 2008 | post #8)

Sidney physician dies unexpectedly
Dr. Bruce Urbanc, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, was a physician who showed compassion to his patients and volunteered his personal time to make Wilson Memorial Hospital a vital community resource, hospital officials said. Many of those who worked with him as well as his patients, friends and relatives are in mourning this week for a man who gave his time and devotion to his family, his patients and to his community. “He was more than my business partner,” said Dr. Ken Bosslet. “He was my friend for 31 years.” Bosslet first met Urbanc in Kirksville, where Urbanc was a first-year medical student at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. ‘Friendship grew’ “My wife and I went to Kirksville to open up a franchise and needed someone to watch our son. We found Bruce’s wife, Holly, to watch him, and then got to know Holly and Bruce and our friendship grew,” he explained. It was due to Urbanc’s example that Bosslet decided to go to medical school. The two were separated, yet remained in touch, since Urbanc graduated and joined the U.S.Air Force to continue his medical residency and Bosslet had several more years of medical school to complete. Urbanc served at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a flight surgeon and after his military service was finished, bought Dr. Donald Siehl’s practice in Sidney in 1987 since Siehl was retiring. His patient load grew quickly and Urbanc asked Bosslet and his wife to come to Sidney and see if he wanted to join the practice. The Bosslets liked Sidney and moved as soon as Bosslet completed his medical residency. The two developed a thriving practice through their dedication to their patients and to each other. ‘A great partner’ “He was a great partner, a very caring doctor and a devoted family man,” said Bosslet. “We were a good balance and always made decisions based on the best interests of our patients.” Bosslet noted that Urbanc and his wife were in Cleveland this past weekend to attend a family wedding and visit with family members. He said that on Friday, Urbanc spent the day with his son, Patrick, who is a recent graduate of Bowling Green State University and had begun a job with a Cleveland-based company. “He told his wife that it was the best day of his life with his son,” as his son showed him his company and all he was learning and doing in this new beginning of his life. Bosslet said that Sunday, 27 members of Urbanc and his wife’s family had gotten together to attend a Cleveland Indians ballgame. During the game, Urbanc told family members that he did not feel well and said he was going to get some water. He collapsed near a paramedic station, and was taken to a hospital three minutes away from the ballpark. ‘Massive heart attack’ “I think that he had a massive heart attack and died immediately.” Bosslet said. “The hospital found his cell phone and called the family. It is such a huge shock to everyone. We lost a respected and revered physician and community leader as well as a good friend. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family as well a his patients.” He served the hospital well as a member of the medical staff. During his 20 years of serving patients in Shelby County, Urbanc also was an active physician serving to stimulate progress and enhance quality at Wilson, hospital officials said. He served as the chair of medicine for the medical staff in 1992-93, was the chief of staff from 1994-96 and served on the medical staff committee of the board of trustees and as a member of the Quality Improvement Council. He was also an active member of the Shelby County Medical Society and medical director of The Pavilion, Sidney. Urbanc, board-certified by the American Osteopathic Association in Family Medicine, was also a member of the Wilson Memorial Hospital board of trustees, serving Photo provided Dr. Bruce Urbanc (May 29, 2008 | post #1)
Jenna Bush's wedding is low-key affair at ranch
This girl has every right to want her wedding to be private. Her whole life has been in the spotlight with people like you who judge her. She is no different than any girl who might make bad judgments. Are you perfect? I would still vote for Bush if given the choice. I believe it is the media who never gave him the chance. Shoot they blamed him for Katrina for goodness sake. (May 11, 2008 | post #8)
Ohio approves state smoking ban
I was a teenager during this time and remember the Xenia tornado's well. We lived in Fairfield at the time and I remember stepping outside and thinking the atmosphere was so green and still. It was so eerie. I went with a church group a few days later to help with the clean-up. I never have forgotten the devastation I saw. We actually toured a few homes. Saw even a set of dentures where someone was running for their lives. One home was completely gone and you could see down into the basement where they survived huddled under some saw horses and a mattress. To this day tornado's scare me so much. I am glad you survived. Man hit by police Taser in Ohio dies
Now that's funny! Thanks for the laugh. I don't play with it I did hold it once to see how heavy it was. Then handed it back to him. Sometimes he will stretch out on the couch with this thing still on his belt and I tease him that he is going to tase himself or the dogs. LOL Ouch! He can't though the safety is on. Man hit by police Taser in Ohio dies
Maybe in your city the police's tasers have cameras but my husband just 4 months ago was trained by OUR CITY POLICE in the use of a taser. The taser my husband carries is the exact same model as the police carry in our city. My husband told me that his taser does not have a camera and it is a police issue taser made in Dec/2007. The serial number has this date on it. It looks just like a gun and he wears it on his belt in a holster. (May 2, 2008 | post #22)

Man hit by police Taser in Ohio dies
My husband owns a police issue taser that looks just like a gun. IT HAS NO CAMERA ON IT. I have held it and watched my husband test fire it without the clip. It also fires only once and must be reloaded. You can remove the clip and hold the device against the skin but as for firing the pins ,you shoot once the clips fly out of the taser and it must be reloaded to fire again. Also each clip shoots out a piece of paper that has numbers on it that must be turned in to the police after each firing. (Apr 30, 2008 | post #16)
