My posts continually keep saying Dodge City, Kansas. No matter what I do I can not seem to change this. I am and always have been in Maine!  (Apr 22, 2008 | post #1)

Enough is Enough - Could Trucker Shutdown Be Reality - Tr...

I used to be a long haul coast to coast trucker. It has been many many years since I drove. I only mention this to make the point that you don't have to be a trucker to be thoroughly disgusted with the situation we have to-day. I agree 100% that the truckers should shut down, and stay shut down for as long as it takes. I realize some truckers will really be hurt financially, even to the point of losing things doing this. From where I sit, unless things drastically change, and I mean real change in the price of all fuel, I see this country heading for not a recession, but an actual DEPRESSION. The maximum cost for any fuel should not be over $1.50 a gallon. I mean all fuel. Gas, diesel, and home heating oil. Steps also need to be taken to do something about the ridiculous cost of health care in this country, but I know thats another issue. In any case, I will say again, I support a national truck shut down 100%  (Apr 6, 2008 | post #283)
