Does Judge O'Connor HATE children

I wonder if he did not "set his "story" up? 1. He left the car setting out in the open with parts of Martha's bicycle stll on the upper bumper. He claimed he thought he had hit a deer, not a person. Since his car was not discovered until sometime later, any evidence that he was DUI had "evaportated. " He also claimed he has a sleep disorder & has trouble staying awake while driving. He had several witnesses, who had been "drinking " with him, willing to testify, or did testify he had had only "a couple of beers," & was no way intoxicatede when he parted from them. I believe he got the maxi sentence consistent with the current laws. Once again, people need to know about the law. A judge is not suppose to "make law,' because that's the duty of the legislature. Call your state reps & senator or petition the state government for stricter laws.  (6 hrs ago | post #20)

Now other conservatives on here "bragged " that ROMNEY would win, but I learned long ago, that in politics, anything can happen. If one thinks his candidate is going to win, keep quiet about it. No, not too safe for blacks in the South 1952, but there are still problems for blacks in 2013, not only in the South but the whole country. Woman's rights? I don't know what you mean by woman's rights in the 1950's. Are you talking about in the South or the whole country. All I know, I never heard my mom, aunts, & cousin complain. Bear in mind that there are more issues than blacks & women, like a nation financially sound, small welfare rolls, hospital bed was $10.00 per day, lots fewer divorces with fewer single parents, lower taxes, sound SS System, lower crime, less corruption in government, pornography was not the problem it is today, popular music was decent & didn't tend to lead young people astray. With you being a lib, I imagine that the 50's culture I mentioned above would be "boring" to you, & you seem not to be aprehensive about the current trends. I realize the past is safe, & the future is questionable. I also believe that many situations are better than in 1952: Medical improvements, people are living longer, new labor saving devices, cars last much longer, more people have more wealth, faster & better traveling options, Interstate Highway System, better methods of food production, etc. REMEMBER: THE PAST IS PROLOGUE, STUDY THE PAST."  (Yesterday | post #42)
