College students work with troubled juveniles from Ark. l...

I for one will support any program that will reach our juveniles in Arkansas. The juvenile system in Arkansas is one of the most hideous political fiascoes that has been a public embarrassment in Arkansas to date. DD  (Apr 1, 2007 | post #1)

McGehee Man Denied Bond In Flower Shop Owner Slaying

Well Lib, this isn't a mistake, Micheal had a choice and he committed murder. Who are we to condemn? we are the people who vote our law makers into office. The very laws that Micheal violated. Thats what gives us the right to condemn Micheal to death. This is a heinous crime with abominable actions. The need to talk about this crime and this person is a way for us to express ourselves and to deal with the transgression that Micheal has brought to the Dermott community. I for one knew Mrs Jordan and there is not one thing you can say that will ever justify Micheal Williams for breathing air right now. He is wasting my air and my tax dollars. he forfeited his right to live! David Donovan  (Mar 29, 2007 | post #12)

Actually Smokey, I didn't think ya'll practice the art of inline breading in Ca. All I wrote was of an encounter with a Mexican family, how do you find that repulsive? Because this particular group of Mexicans doesn't fit your criteria of thieving bastards? As far as my Law enforcement career is concern, its maggots like you who I pull over, are the first to bitch I should be out their stopping real criminals. You know what, you are the real criminal or I wouldn't have pulled you over. And for the record, I never condoned illegal aliens. You live in a border state I don't, but we get illegal aliens that have crossed the border from your state as well as Texas, here in Arkansas. But I can say this , the last violent crime we had involving an illegal alien, actually had come from CA. For my part, ya'll need to keep you god damn aliens over there since you can't seem to keep them behind the fence.  (Mar 9, 2007 | post #10972)

Then I guess I am racist(lol) It sounds like to me, someone on this site is really a "mental midget". But I can say this, I truly did not know what racism was until I moved into the Delta. back home in the hills, you only thought you knew what racism was.  (Mar 6, 2007 | post #10816)

In reality, it is the nature of our country to be racists. All we are doing is repeating history. It was Polish, Germans, Irish, Jews, Cubans, Etc. Any nationality that has come to our shores we have met with a certain amount of racism. Thats who we are. Blacks are little different. We bought and sold them from the Dutch etc. after their one people sold them. Then we we decided to become racists after they were freed. Now its the brown peoples turn. We will get over it very much the same as we have in the past. And no, racism will never cease. Its in our biological make up as animals. However since we are supposed to be the king of the food chain, we are to have the intelligence to accept change, recognize our own humanoid existence. So are we afraid of; culture? or are we afraid of color. What prompts this racial bigotry? Or is this a domain proposition? if it is, did you forget our ancestors in their Christian attitude stole this country from the American Indians? I don't how much my ancestors are guilty of stealing this country as much as intra breading with them(lol) I am curios, what is the fear here? I want my boarders protected. I don't want them to have free rein in this country , So whats up?  (Mar 6, 2007 | post #10783)

most Mexicans I have run across in the Delta area have been hard working. I have arrested several, but mostly it has been alcohol related offenses. We have had some Mexican on Mexican crime. Historically Spaniards have been a proud people and industrious. Mexicans along the boarders and threw out the rural areas of Mexico have been a poorer culture. We had a Mexican housekeeper for a while and to tell you I was impressed. They lived south of Mexico city about 150 miles. She said the village was poor compared to our standards. Dirt roads, no water or sewage system. If you had a tractor about the size of a Ford 4000, you were considered a rich farmer. Her family along with many other families have been coming to the US for many years working on the local farms, log woods etc. I mentioned to her that they must be considered upper class Mexicans when they went back each year considering the low income of the general populous of their town and the money they made here. ( her father made about 1200 US dollars a year) She said no, not really, I asked why? She said that all the Mexicans from her town that came to the States to work, put the money back in the town. I asked for what. She said that they put in their own water and sewer system, up graded their schools and improved their streets. When asked she advised that they got little help from their government and the town virtually no tax base and could not afford to local water systems etc. Now I ask you, Would you do the same for your town? Obviously they didn't like the poor living conditions they had, came to a foreign country, made money and improved their living conditions for everyone. You may not like Mexicans, but you have to respect that! By the way, her children were well behaved. They were not allowed to address us unless we talked first. They were not allowed to Watch our television or eat our food. They brought there own sack lunch. I have seen good and bad Mexicans. on a per ratio bases, I have locked up more Americans and have seen more crime from Americans then I have the Mexicans in Arkansas. I will admit, Texas was a little different story, but then again maybe I was a little more predigest then.  (Mar 5, 2007 | post #10765)

I am all for securing our boarders! And I mean secure. As far as letting immigrants into our country, here in lyes the problem. As the baby boomer's retire, we are loosing our work force, military force etc. So you have to ask how we are going to fill this void? (Viagra came out to late, lol ). We as Americans are going to be faced with immigrants that the last several generations haven't seen. Therefore we need to be extremely diligent about our boarders. I am pissed off with the system we have now that allows migrant workers access to our health care system without contribution. All migrant workers should automatically be taxed the same as we are. Welcome To America. As far as visa's are concern, it should be made easier to apply for, i.e more streamed line. I didn't say to get, but to apply for. This would effect an easier criminal history to obtain. Thus I would hope would result in better tracking and denial of Visa's. The Visa cards should have to be used on a daily basis while the immigrant is working. They should have to swipe their cards to clock in and out of the job they have come here to do. If you can't swipe a Visa card, then obviously the employer should detain the subject and have them handed to INS. (that should piss the domestic employers off) If we can hand out welfare cards to our own citizens, then how hard would it be to implement this type of program? Fool proof no, improvement, yes. Boarder patrolling should be obviously stepped up. To what extent? to the point of FEAR. Bleeding heart liberals may not like it, but if you assess how easy it is for terrorists to pass our boarders, then need I say more? I am not being a bigot about it. This goes for Canadians as well. If we do not control the situation now, and become more aggressive, what is the future going to be like? Will we loose our freedom to pass from one state to another? Will we end up with check points at every state line? Come on folks, Illegal, un-law-full entry or how ever you want to say it, is not going to stop. We should not embrace it, but we should defiantly control it. (and I did mean to use the word defiantly ) Immigrants are going to be here, and here to stay. Employment wise, this will be the future, like it or not.  (Mar 5, 2007 | post #10737)

Then perhaps you should stop educating yourself with television and read your bible. If you are trying to be "christ like" then, perhaps reading the good book you would actually find a gentler way of expressing yourself. I certainly wouldn't gage my success on how much negative feed back I got back. Now, if you would like start a debate on another thread, I'm all for it. Be safe Cory.  (Mar 5, 2007 | post #334)

Arkansas Crime Lab

What's up with the Arkansas Crime Lab and the B/S they feed us about being so slow/back logged in processing evidence! My inside sources have told me for the most part there is very few employee's who actually clock in and try to do their jobs. In fact they have been instructed to "slow down". Court orders have been issued for evidence to be processed as recently as 3-4 months because cases have been sitting on the dockets waiting on the crime lab to process evidence. Its a shame when a judge has to force the crime lab to do their job. Have we neglected proper funding for the crime lab, or is there other problems? I know of one judge order to process the DNA for a particular case only took 3 days to process when the director over the DNA was issued the judgment. So what gives?  (Mar 5, 2007 | post #1)

Suspect in McGehee killing held on $100K bond

Lovely, I go with what I know about Bryce. Obviously I do know more about the accident then you. Further I have known Bryce since he was about 12 years of age, along with the rest of his family, including his real father. You forgiving them in time wasn't the point. Forgiving him for Seth is the point. I apologize if that wasn't clear. However, I will stand on he deserves what he gets and then some. Taking Seth's life was total act of unexcused murder. He wasn't to drunk or meth'd out. He was just out of control as usual. I don't have much tolerance for such acts. You haven't seen the death and destruction in peoples lives that I have from alcohol and drugs. I hope you never have too for give some drunk for slamming into your car and devastating your family. I hope you never have to make that phone call and tell some wife or husband they just lost their family to a drunk driver, I have. I do not have the tolerance for such careless ignorant crimes against humanity. Further more I even have less tolerance for the bastards that abuse and molest children, this includes parents who hide their head in the sand over it. As far as I am concern they should do us all a favor and off themselves. The bastard that molested my daughter died in his own apartment fire. personally, I felt vindicated.  (Mar 3, 2007 | post #6)
