5-year-old boy killed by pit bull in Texas

Let me tell you what, I'd like to kill off all the dirt bags in prison that my hard earned tax dollars go to keeping. People are soooo dumb these day's, it is not the breed that is the problem. It's people, plain and simple! People by these animals for all the wrong reasons. "OH, I need a guard dog" so they buy a pitt bull. But they never spend the time or money to read about the breed before buying the animal and they don't take it to any classes or even try to home train the dog. Then when they get to busy to take care of it or they can no longer afford to do so they sell or give it away. This is a bad cycle for the animal, very bad. Pits, like other bully breeds become very attached to the owner and shipping them from one family to another causes problems, just like with kids who act out. Now I'm not saying that some animals don't have mental problems. This comes from all the in-breeding (Moms with sons and so forth) a lot of BYB's just want the income generated by the pups and will breed a female everytime she comes in heat. So I say to all of you would be animal lovers "DO NOT buy or obtain an animal unless you plan on keeping it for the LIFE of the pet".  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #1000)

Littlestown soldier killed in Afghanistan

It's so sad for someone so young to have lost his life. It's a time of war & although some are not sure who or what we are fighting for, we must stand behind our country or leave it. Every time someone bashes the Military you also bash what this young man and thousands like him stand and die for. God Bless his family and I'm so sorry for your loss. I thank the men & women of the armed forces for keeping us safe and free every day! Donna W.  (Sep 9, 2008 | post #13)

Rocky Ridge trees to fall, thanks to gypsy moths

Those thing's have been a problem for years! Why didn't they spray last year or this year????????? NOOOOOOO, wait till the tree's are dead and then bitch about it. Where do all our tax dollars go? They go up every year, if not twice a year but nothing ever gets done. Maybe those folks that sit on their a**'s and push a pen or curseraround all day should take a pay cut so the county can afford to do the thing's that need to be done with our tax dollars!  (Sep 1, 2008 | post #2)

Touched, again, by Kyla's story

Yes, keep fighting Kathy! I lost both of my parents to cancer. My Mom died in 83 of uterine cancer and my father 3 years later of a tumor in his liver. My Mom was 58 and had 14 children before passing (way to early) when I was 18. They didn't know all the thing's thay do now and she never had a "pap smear" till I seen she was bleeding and made her go see the doctor. My Dad never drank, not his whole life but ended up with a tumor in his liver. He was diagnosed in Jan. of 86 and died 1 day before his 63rd birthday. I miss them every day and think of them often. I feel in someways I was robbed of the "Mother & Daughter" thing. God Bless you Kathy and your in my prayers! I'm so glad more and more people are beating cancer. It gives me hope, in case I get it. Police log: Thefts from vehicles investigated

Yes, the days are gone when you can go into a store and leave your windows down too! I was at a store this past week and left my windows down as to leave air in on a very hot day. When I returned to my vehicle I noticed someone had been in my glove box (nothing in there to get hahaha on you). Usually I have my rottie with me but not on hot days of course. So I don't have to worry about someone doing something like this. You can believe if I ever catch someone going through my car you better start praying I'm having a "good" day. because if I'm not you won't be either ;)  (Aug 6, 2008 | post #2)

Crash throws 2 from truck

Pa. Motor vehicle law states; NO ONE may ride in the back of a pick up or flat bed truck that is traveling OVER 35 MPH. Anyone under the age of 18 must be restrained no matter where you're sitting in the vehicle. Anyone over 18 and riding in the FRONT seat must be restrained. People miss thing's all the time. So who is to say the fellow driving may have been chatting or changing the channel on the radio and just missed seeing the sign. He will pay for his mistake. He will face fines and cost, not to mention the guilt he already feels for his girlfriend getting hurt. To error is human, to forgive is divine.  (Aug 2, 2008 | post #7)

Police log: Fatal crash on I-83 causes traffic delays

First let me say I'm sorry to the family who lost their Mother, Wife, Sister and Daughter. God Bless & take care. Then; It is a shame that everyone is in such a hurry these days that good people have to die. Drivers need to be more aware of what is going on around them instead of talking on their cell phones, eating or putting on make up! I'm a commercial driver and know that four wheelers (cars) do the dumbest things around trucks! They speed up and pass you then slow down so you have to pass them or slam on their brakes in front of you after cutting in front of you. People you need to be aware that when you do this you may end up in a body bag. Trucks CAN NOT stop as fast as your little car and when we hit you you back seat is coming to visit you. Now I have never had a "my fault" crash (yet) & hope I never do. But I've been in a few and their not pretty. And to my fellow truckers "SLOW DOWN" in busy areas! Pay attention to the vehicles ahead of you. If you see brake lights coming on IT'S A HINT!!!! I see to many of you "young" truckers who think it's a race way out there and it's not. Leave early to get where you're going. Plan on traffic and maybe a blown out tire or over heated truck in hot weather. Is it that hard to do??????? I think not! I've been doing it for 20 years!  (Jul 23, 2008 | post #15)

Sisters win fight against Springetts to keep dogs

Glad too hear it! As long as the dogs are taken care of there should be no problems.  (Jul 16, 2008 | post #8)
