Hi Arlene, Look for it at the morganite pendant. It shows up there but the listing doesn't show the 5 Stars yet. If you open the listing it's there= OHC098P I need to leave some more reviews.  (12 hrs ago | post #194)

I've got DSL and never lose my internet connection. I also got rid of McAfee a long time ago and switched to AVG Internet Security. It has worked like a champ. McAfee seemed to slow my computer down a lot! Joan it is really wonderful you won that beauty contest! Arlene, is correct, you've probably passed that beauty onto your daughter! She'll need your jewelry someday! Nan, your fire opal is beautiful! I'll bet it has lots of fire! Excellent ring! Nancy, I'm glad you like your morganite. I submitted reviews for my two morganite purchases. I will have to look to see if they have posted them. I've tried to use DISCHOL091 AND DISCHOL092 on line without success. I did use the 25% off so I guess I had success once! ALC has never come here. We did our best.  (17 hrs ago | post #192)

Yes, in the photo is the scarlet sapphire pendant from JTV about one year ago. I love that scarlet cross. I haven't seen the peridot/black diamond rings and pendants. I'll post a photo of the sapphire ring. If you email me at atsui_desu_ne@hotmail.com I can attach photos to send you there. : )  (20 hrs ago | post #188)

Oh dear Arlene, Thank you for those two brain tumor foundations! I think the way to ease fear in these situations is read and get facts and information. I have already emailed the links to Ruth. You are a great friend! Thanks! Alice is the same day to day except that she has the occasional seizure. She has to take anti-seizure medications which make her groggy. Still if she has someone with her, she can go for a walk or out. She can't drive or work. We all prayed together yesterday and Ruth told us all about it. Nan, I do own two pieces of scarlet sapphire and I love them. The photo here is of the pendant I gave my former daughter-in-law last Christmas. I bought a pendant for myself too. The other piece I have it a multi-colored sapphire ring with scarlet sapphire. It is fantastic. I love it! Go for it! I saw that the tanzanite ring I liked has two reviews. One was negative and said, "The color was not as seen on TV, and it had many windows in the stone that were very noticeable to the naked eye." I'm so glad I didn't order it.  (23 hrs ago | post #186)

Yes, we have to sign because of the original price being over $200. Did you see my note yet? About scarlet sapphire? I ordered a pair of 2 carat tanzanite studs on Dec. 1. It still says "payment verified" on my order status almost a week later. I think they ran out of them and had to reorder more. What did you win on auction, Nan?  (Yesterday | post #185)

Nancy, I just now saw your posts. . . They were there when I wrote #176 and #177. I love Phil's baby! Classic!!! Perfectly maintained! Wow! I'll book mark that photo. Does Phil have his garage floor sealed? One man down the street put a checkerboard black and white floor in his. Thank you about our Corvette. We love it but "Baby" stays in most of the time. We want to keep it low on miles. I want Larry to have it repainted. In 87, they sold them with some sort of clear coat. That ruined it. But otherwise that car is great. My brother-in-law in Texas is a Ford Fairlane man. He has one in premium condition. I've been updating my jewelry notebook, putting putting the page of description in on things. I just reviewed the morganite ring and pendant I bought. I'm so glad you suggested putting the wire through the peridot necklace. I saw where that necklace is sold out. We could add weight to it with additional silver wire. I could go to our local store for wire. We have the "Bead Merchant" in Tulsa. My favorite beading store. Since we saved so much money on the necklace, it'd be a shame to send it back. I am really thinking of buying DRC441R-6 ! I just discovered it and love the multi-colored sapphires on it. I'd like to see it on TV first. but how beautiful!  (Yesterday | post #178)

Hello Ladies! I've had a busy day. . . Went to Bible study with Ruth and we all shared our love and prayers for her and her daughter. Alice is 53 - roughly our ages. I think this scares me from using a cell phone. Still Alice was a flight attendant and exposed to radiation in jets. She says others in the industry have some illness. I think I'll research it a bit on reliable sites. I came home and ate some lunch then went to buy groceries! We were out of most everything! I am not fixing a meal tonight . . . maybe grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. I am going to make oriental skillet supper later on this week. It is cube steak, celery, green bell pepper and tomato stir fried with a thickened sauce. I serve it with rice. If you would like the recipe, I'll type it in here. Tomorrow night it will be baked chicken with Rice-A-Roni and steamed broccoli. It is hard to get good seafood in Oklahoma but it can be done. Oh I still want that pretty tanzanite ring!!! I just won't buy another big ticket item now. Now if I had 25% off and it were on sale, that is another matter. I need to re-enter my credit card info for auctions again. You all are finding some good deals on auctions. Last night I came in here with my peridot earrings to put them on to wear to bed. I like waking up with my jewelry on. Aren't I weird? Do you wear pendants to bed? I do sometimes. I thought I laid the earring back down on the desk but no. . . I can't find that earring back anywhere. It isn't on the floor on the desk or in the trash! It just flat disappeared. I hate it when that happens! Terrie, I'm 5'7.5" tall. I am about 177 pounds and need to get back to doing my points on Weight Watchers. Christmas just isn't the best time to do that. We have a 3 car garage too. My husband has an 87 Corvette with 23,000 miles on it. He used to restore Jaguars and sold them for the Corvette. He needs to get it painted. My husband's hobby is golf and the more the better. He likes to build radio-controlled model planes, and he also is into shooting air guns and air rifles with my stepson. All four of those hobbies are $$$ users.  (Sunday | post #171)

Arlene, Thank you! You are so good to offer so much great advice. I do know that they are thinking of M. D. Anderson in Houston. But Cornell is another option. They say that the location of her tumor makes it inoperable. I think Ruth must feel like I did with my mother. You want to switch bodies with the person and suffer for them. I am sure that anything Ruth sees Alice suffer, she feels. When Ruth was only 9 the SS once again raided their house. They'd go through and take whatever they wanted. She was supposed to run and get help, but before she could, the trooper pulled a gun and pointed it at her. She was just terrified. They hid their books carefully, but the officer found one and took it away from them. I'm so glad they survived and got out of there. She is truly a dear friend. My sister in law, Brenda, died of brain cancer. One day she was at work and noticed she'd typed a row of dddddddddddddd's like that on her work. She noticed it more and more. Then her arm stopped moving correctly more and more. They did surgery but couldn't get it all out. She died within a year. My brother in law's brother, Mike, also got brain cancer and fought it a long time, but he succumbed to it too. Suddenly Larry and I are rethinking this business of using cell phones. We know 2 others who have died of brain cancer.  (Saturday | post #157)

Hi Terrie, Arlene, Michele, and Joan & Nan! Thanks for your thoughts on brain tumors. I have never been a mother, but if my daughter had such a diagnosis, it would just devastate me! Ruth is from Germany. She grew up there during WWII. Hitler did not want them studying the Bible as they did. Also, they expected her to salute to Hitler at grade school. She merely mouthed the words at the request of her mother. She has several terrible things happen. The SS troopers came into their home and took whatever they wanted. They lived under the threat of prison and concentration camps. Now after years of peace in the USA Ruth must face this. Well, I tell you, I'll be there for her! I will pray and thank you for your prayers for Alice as well. Alice has two children who are in their 20's. . . Derek and Avery. Joan, how pretty you must be! Do you have that beautiful Jamaican accent? I've been to Jamaica twice. Once we went to Ocho Rios and stayed for a week. We had lots of pumpkin soup. Loved it! We climbed the Dunns River Falls. Also, we road horses up into the hills. Then we came back on a cruise. The people seem impoverished and that is so sad for such a beautiful place. I was greeted at the airport by a man who said, "Smoke & Coke?" !!! Well I sure want to buy VJR1110. But I just can't afford that! Not after all I have purchased lately. I do love Tanzanite. How do you all like the peridot earrings in my photo? They were only $69!  (Saturday | post #153)

What a beautiful semi-mount! It will look wonderful! I went to a party, ate way too much! It was great fun. I came home and found out that a daughter of a dear friend of mine has brain cancer. :-( Her daughter, Alice, is 53 and has been a flight attendant on long overseas flights for years. The tumor is behind her eyes and near an ear. She talks exclusively on cell phones. I'm so upset! My dear friend Ruth is heartbroken. The tumor is inoperable. So all they can do is give her medication to control the seizures. I think flying at elevations for the length of time to go overseas would expose you to more radiation and so would cell phones. Do any of you know people who have had brain tumors? My brother-in-law's wife died of it and so did another brother-in-law's brother.  (Saturday | post #143)

Oh Joan that ring is gorgeous! Don't you just love it?? I have to quickly dash this note. We reread our party invitation and discovered it at 2 today. I'm wearing a 3 stone tanzanite ring, and my fancy diamond pendant and earrings and . . . jeans! I'm wearing a black sweater with a golden embroidered moose from Coldwater Creek. Terrie, I havent' bid on anything. . .  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #133)

Good Morning everyone! Wow! Terrie, that is a lot of snow. It doesn't snow that much here. We have it in the forecast for Tuesday night into Weds. When I was a school counselor & teacher I always looked forward to those luxurious snow days. It was heaven to turn on the TV at 5 a.m. and see my school district was closed and go back to sleep! Now I enjoy just cocooning in and not having to get out in it. You all surely fill your mailboxes! Wow! I like the idea. I'm waiting for a silver ring with a pearl and moldavite, dermagem, and the tanzanite earrings. So far all it says on the tanzy earrings is "payment verified" and it has said that for days. Humm!  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #118)

Oh Arlene, We jewelry addicts are so alike! I have a spread sheet file of all I have purchased. I have one each for bracelets, rings, earrings, necklaces and pendants. I give a column for metal type, carat weight, description, date purchased and price. Also, I have notebooks where I keep my JTV receipts, print out of the item and an enlarged print of its photo. Oh your sapphire earrings sound wonderful! I love dressy dangling earrings. I love pretty, sparkling things and I always have. When I was little we went to Six Flags Over Texas. The highlight of the trip was buying a little rhinestone "ruby & diamond" ring with my allowance. I still have it! I try to rotate through and wear the items, but I don't wear more than two or three rings at at time, usually two. I just posted a photo of our pin oak all weighed down with ice and broken branches. Everyone for a 50 miles radius in our area had broken tree limbs like this. Arlene, you know, you had the same thing happen in Boston. Electricians worked long hard hours reinstalling weatherheads for power. Dad's insurance paid for the heat pump. It was so weird. We all just hunkered down at my house. I had food and power so I cooked our meals. Even the grocery stores and restaurants were closed for a while. Mom and Dad took our bed downstairs and we moved upstairs and my sister and brother-in-law stayed on the couch and a recliner. I had a line of relatives who also came over for hot showers. What a storm that was. Tulsa is in an area of Oklahoma called "Green Country". We do have rolling hills, lakes, trees and woods. I enjoy living here. I have been to Las Vegas once when I was 16. I've been to California several times. Ventura, Ontario, San Diego, through L.A. and San Clemente. I really love CA, too. I love the ocean and seafood. I've been to Florida too. But I've never been to Boston, NYC, or West Virginia.  (Friday Dec 4 | post #108)
