Given the current situation with the gas prices and the economy as a whole, we are walking on very shaky ground. We have some stating that the economy is doing o.k., just a slow-sown, while others lay out a very bleak future. One can only speculate while we have others regulating. I think it is time that we take a good hard look at who we are as a nation and come up with answers instead of finger-pointing and looking for the easy way out. This economy is not going to get better with sweeping problems under the carpet, nor will it get better when we have leaders both in the private and government sectors looking out for their retirement. Where have all the jobs gone that would enable hard working Baltimorians, as well as this nation, to take care of their families? Simple to those that work for cheaper pay and have not a care in the world about this nation. Overall, this country is so wrapped up in making allies and gaining business deals in foreign countries that they have forgotten the most important one, the American people. Americans are standing there with their face in their hands wondering what to do, while corporate and government America has one hand on our shoulder for comfort. The other hand holds a Bouyee knife, ready to stab us in the back of all the countries current problems and with a note attached to it, THIS WAS MY FAULT. So true is this statement.
