Martial arts sessions teach Dolphins players how to hold,...

These martial arts techniques should have been introduced to the 'PHINS organization along time ago!! Here is Wash. St., the coaches at the high school my son attends and plays ball for has had a martial arts instructor come to training camp for the last 10-12 years to teach the kids hand and arm quickness and ways to utilize the opponents momentum against them. 4 state titles and 7 trips to the state finals later and not to mention 6 first team all state offensive linemen in the last 5 years; these techniques really seem to work. The TRIFECTA should take advantage of this opportunity as often as possible, the results speak for themselves!!! Go DOLPHINS!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash St's #1 FINFAN!!  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #20)

Quick hits from Sunday's Dolphins minicamp session

I am really impressed with the dedication and leadership I am seeing so far in these OTAs!! It is also great to see our 'PHINS buying into what the TRIFECTA is trying to accomplish. I haven't been this excited for the season to get under way since '85, the year after Marino and the Marks Bros. lit up the NFL!! I'm Lovin' it!!! GO DOLPHINS!! Miami Dolphins hold rookie mini camp

I really like the looks of Louis Ellis, UDRFA, from Shaw University. He has good size and moves really well. Anyone that in interested should check out his you tube highlights!! I think he has a really good shot at making the team as a nose tackle!! Time will tell, but I think he has promise!! GO DOLPHINS!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash St's #1 FINFAN!!!  (May 3, 2009 | post #20)

Miami Dolphins: Brennan Marion, once homeless at junior c...

Anyone who overcomes traumatic obstacles like this young man has and still has the motivation and dedication to try to make it at the next level, speaks volumes about his character!! This is the type of player we need playing for the Dolphins and I wish him all the best. GO DOLPHINS!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash St's #1 FINFAN!!!  (Apr 30, 2009 | post #8)

Dolphins draft reveals thoughts on veterans

Wake will be everything the TRIFECTA thinks he'll be!!! The guy is a bonafide stud!! Yes it took a hiatus in Canada to hone his skills, but you can't argue with 39 sacks in two years and back to back Def. player of the year awards in any Pro League!!! We are only a few core players away from really contending for the Super Bowl and I think we will hit on Vontae Davis and Sean Smith to shore up the secondary!! Soliai will be fine and with Langford and Merling coming along nicely we will have a top ten defense! GO DOLPHINS!!!  (Apr 26, 2009 | post #13)

Miami Dolphins sign free agent tight end Bronson

This could be a diamond in the rough for the 'PHINS!! I have somewhat followed this player as I am a resident of Wash. St. and I'd have to say the Trifecta got lucky with this guy! I was surprised he wasn't drafted. Although he missed time with a shoulder injury he still had a very productive year and I see him being successful at the next level. Good to see a "Local Boy" playing for my beloved 'PHINS!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash St's #1 FINFAN!!  (Apr 26, 2009 | post #1)

Drunk Dolphins fan who killed father, 2-year-old girl on ...

This guy should be given life in prison just for saying what he did. Yes, most of us DOL-FANS are very passionate about our team, but there comes a time when you have to put your passion aside and if there was ever a time more prudent for this, it should have been after Mr. Whiting realized what he had done. I don't know what the drunken vehicular manslaughter laws are in Florida, but if he had done this in my state (Wash St.) He would only recieve only 5.5 to 7.5 for first time offenders, which absolutely disgusts me. I hope that the sentencing guidelines for Florida allow the judge overseeing this case to put this jerk away for the rest of his pitful life!!! My thoughts and prayers are with the victims family. GOD BLESS YOU!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash St's #1 FINFAN!!  (Mar 26, 2009 | post #87)

Miami Dolphins' Chad Pennington on Henne: Miami Dolphins ...

I love Penningtons' approach to his role with the 'PHINS. He knows that every year presents a new challenge and he knows at the end of the day, he gave it his all!!! I wish more players in this league would go at their careers with his approach. I hope Parcells will "re-up" with Penny after this coming season for at least 2 more years so we can have the security of Chad's professionalism and experience on and off the field. I don't think there is a better mentor for a young QB in the league. Keep on keeping on, Penny!!! GO DOLPHINS, DOLFANKIRB, Wash. St's #1 FINFAN!!  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #18)

Dan Pompei's NFL mock draft

What is with all the mock drafts out there that have us taking an OLB/DE at #25? I don't see it happening. We locked up Crowder to a multiyear deal and signed Cameron Wake from the CFL (39 sacks in 2 years and 2-time CFL DEF. MVP)to play opposite Joey. Plus we have Akin Ayaodele and Reggie Torbor all at LB. Not to mention we have Langford, Merling, Dotson, Wright, and Starks at DE. WE need to address WR at #25, no question! With Hakeem Nicks, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Brian Robiskie or Kenny Britt all likely to be available at #25 we should not pass up on any of these three players. Any of these WRs could be a legitimate #1 WR for us. With both 2nd rd. picks we could go in a couple different ways. We could take a corner in round 2 and get an immediate starter as there is excellent depth at the CB position this year and we could address the NT position or offensive line as well. It just doesn't seem to make sense to go with another LB/DE in round 1, when that has been the area that we have addressed and greatly improved in FA already....DOLFANKIRB, Wash. Dolphins release Vonnie Holliday

I can't believe they would drop Holliday, he is the consummate professional and a true leader on and off the field. He has been nothing but an asset to the Dolphins and the Miami community since the day he arrived there. I think this is a big mistake as you can't really suggest that after one year in the league, although they have bright futures ahead of them, Kendall Langford, and Phillip Merling are not ready mentally or physically to assume a leadership role on the defensive line or the locker room. All to save a measely 3.5 mil. As a life long fan of the DOLPHINS, this is one of the most disappointing days for me as a fan in terms of losing a player. I wish Holliday the best of luck in his future endeavours. GO DOLPHINS!!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash. St's #1 FINFAN!!!  (Mar 2, 2009 | post #29)

Will Miami Dolphins draft Maryland star WR Heyward-Bey? H...

If the Dolphins don't pull the trigger on Heyward-Bey or Hakeem Nicks at #25, they will endure yet another season of " **** -Hum" production from the WR corp. Ginn has improved greatly over his rookie year and with year 3 on the horizon for him, I see even more growth potential. Davone Bess is going to be an excellent slot WR in the mold of a Wes Welker. Camarillo will be average at best. There is no #1 WR on this team right now and it stands as their biggest need on the offensive side of the ball. Both Nicks and Heyward-Bey would give the 'PHINS and excellent #1 option at the WR position in Rd.1 of the draft and with the (2) 2nd rd. pick we have we can either take a Center or Guard and/or a nose tackle. We could take care of the center position in FA with the acquisition of Jason Brown from Baltimore and if we go that route, with the two 2nd rd. picks we could go with Guard, Duke Robinson, Oklahoma and Terrence (Mt. Cody) Cody, NT, Alabama. If we could land Albert Haynesworth in FA maybe we could go with a LB in the 2nd rd. instead of NT. There you have it. "In the Trifecta we Trust!!" DOLFANKIRB, Wash. Sentinel exclusive: Jon Gruden talks about life after the...

Gruden is not only a great coach, but a great human being. His approach to this situation is very humbling. He is too good of a coach to not be coaching again in the NFL. I'm sure he'll be hired before the draft. He deserves another shot. His body of work speaks for itself. As a former player (though not NFL) I would have loved to have been coached by Coach Gruden.  (Feb 9, 2009 | post #75)

Henning is favorite to lead Dolphins' offense

We should do our best to keep Bell & Carey. Bell showed that he can play at a very high level when he is healthy and Vernon Carey is the consummate professional, he goes about his business day in, day out and you never hear his name called on Sundays. When a lineman is having their name called on Sundays, it usually means penalties. Carey makes very few mistakes. And the way he has been moved around from RT to LT and back to RT says it all. He is willing to do whatever it takes for the good of the team. Crowder is a decent linebacker and he set a career high for tackles this year, so that tells us he has matured as a player and what we need to realize is he has been in 3 defensive systems in his short career. I think it would be in our best interest to try to keep Crowder too. I have faith in the "Terrific Trio" that they will do what is best for our DOLPHINS. Go DOLPHINS!! DOLFANKIRB, Wash.
