Palin says daughter is pregnant

As a mother of 3 girls (all teens) I would not want to thrust them into the spotlight of media scrutiny! I wouldn’t want my 17 year old daughter to have to face the entire world about getting pregnant. I understand this happens all the time, teen pregnancies are nothing new. Bristol is lucky to have a loving family. However Ms Palin made these choices and ya know what, the world isn't so once. The media does not respect privacy b/c this is news, sad is sounds. My issue is not with her as a mother or wife. My issue is her cover up in Alaska and she is already back tracking. My issue that she preached No birth control, no sex Ed but is all warm and fuzzy about being a grand mother. Teen pregnancies and unwed mothers are a real issue that we face (yes I know the daughter is getting married, let’s see how long that will last) She is not the best pick by far that McCain could have chosen. She will not sway the Hillary votes; she is not a role model for women nor is she ready to be CEO of or great nation. She is NOT doing any justice for women right now! Personally I think she should have politely said THANKS BUT NO THANKS to being the VP!  (Sep 2, 2008 | post #466)
