Louisville, KY life is meaningless i think about suicide

If they don't want to talk to you, just get away from them. Get out of the house. Go be with your friends, and any other family member that does care. Spartan is right; parents (like most of us) take things for granted. Surround yourself with people who care and you'll feel better.  (Jun 30, 2013 | post #20)

That's just it - you won't know until you get there. And if you end your life now, You'll never know. Just know that only YOU can make things better for yourself. Why do you think people would be happy without you?  (Jun 29, 2013 | post #14)

Dog warning card from postmaster

Today I received a card headed "put yourself in my shoes" and it was about keeping dogs under control when the mail person comes. Did anyone else get this? My dogs are in the basement every day until 4pm or later because they would destroy the house otherwise. Therefore neither are near the front door, much less wandering the yard when the mail carrier arrives. Was this directed at me, or is it a blanket mailing??  (Jun 29, 2013 | post #1)

Louisville, KY life is meaningless i think about suicide

Hey there. I too thought about suicide a lot at your age. I dealt with verbal and emotional abuse, as well as bullying, all from my family. What I did was try and surround myself with my friends, who were all positive influences. Then I turned 18, went off to college, and had the best years of my life so far. Now I am 31 and married to a great guy. I won't say the thoughts go away - from time to time I still think about ending it all. But what you have to remind yourself of is that there are a lot of people that love you, and how upset would they be if they could never see you again? How would you feel if the person you loved the most just decided to end their life? Sad? Angry? Powerless? That's how they would feel. Life is hard, but you can survive it and come out a better, stronger person. Don't throw it away now. Get through high school and go to college. Become independent of those things that bring you down. You do have a purpose, as we all do. Just hold on to those who love you and you'll be ok. Take care.  (Jun 29, 2013 | post #10)
