Florida rights activists laud California gay marriage ruling
It IS going on the ballot in November for a vote to amend the consitution. Same sex marriage is already against the laws of Florida. http://www.leg.sta te.fl.us/Statutes/ index.cfm?App_mode =Display_Statute &Search_String =&URL=Ch0741/S EC212.HTM&Titl e=->2007->Ch 0741->Section%2 0212#0741.212 (1 hr ago | post #53)
Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama
Oh, I hope you are so right about getting that shrew on tape. It would not surprise me in the slightest little bit. Kinda scary though that many of the Obamabots would just skate right over that and pretend it didn't happen. Can't let anything interfere with their peception of the "Chosen One", the master of CHANGE...and hope. Harry Houdini reincarnated! (1 hr ago | post #998)
Florida, Michigan Delegates Cannot Save Clinton
Oh, yeah...that's likely when we have a 65% republican majority in the legislature and a republican governor. Our legislature has been so ineffective this year that just maybe, if the republicans will admit this bunch is worthless, we will get a democratic majority. But that's an uphill battle. Florida, Michigan Delegates Cannot Save Clinton
Read up on what really happened, then tell me what to do. I had no choice as to the voting date, per our Florida Legislature. (1 hr ago | post #30)
Calif. Supreme Court overturns gay-marriage ban
Please, move anywhere you want. We're not all religious wackos, just believers in God and in Christ. I would guess there are more of us than of you, so perhaps you'd be interested in letting majority rule? No, I see you prefer murder rather than "love" and "understandin g" and "equality " that you believe you should have. (2 hrs ago | post #2952)
Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama
Nope...didn't vote for King George, didn't vote for his father, didn't vote for Reagan, didn't vote for Gerald Ford, and I quite honestly can't remember if I voted for Nixon. That's a maybe. (2 hrs ago | post #993)
Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama
And you would know that how? I have not said a word against you because of your race - I couldn't even swear to it what color you are except that you proclaim it in most of your posts. "We" bought "you" from your tribal leaders for the food we had already stolen? Ok, I'll admit that's a new one to me. I guess your memory is better than mine about something that happened in our families 170 or more years ago. You do know that slave trade is alive and well in Africa today, don't you? I'm sorry you're unhappy and so angry. Maybe I should still be angry at the slaughter my ancestors suffered in Culloden Field? (2 hrs ago | post #992)
Crude prices soar past $127 a barrel
I don't believe the supply/demand theory has anything to do with this either. Actually in March the demand was DOWN, but we kept seeing the cost go up. It's time we played hardball. Why on earth are we funding ANYTHING in the MidEast when they have the oil? Gotta be something in it for those in power in OUR country. (8 hrs ago | post #14)
Obama apologizes to reporter he called 'sweetie'
IF you've ever had a job of any supervisory, executive, or corporate experience, you learn quickly that it is not appropriate to use terms that may be perceived as sexual harrassment. Human Resources Departments give classes on it. And that includes the South! It's ok for me to call my friend or my daughter "sweetie ", "honey", etc. but it is NOT ok for me to call another employee "sweetie ", and certainly not someone of the opposite sex. And I'm not running for President of the United States! He could get by with these little sentiments when doing community activism in south Chicago, but he's in the big leagues now. He should know better and shouldn't have to be "educated " at this point on what's professionally acceptable. (8 hrs ago | post #162)
Obama apologizes to reporter he called 'sweetie'
It actually shows how little executive experience he has. To me, personally, it's not bad, but I know similar things have won many sexual harrassment lawsuits. (Maybe that's why he brought John Edwards on board!) (9 hrs ago | post #152)
Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama
Show me the original agreement sanctions. Of course voiding all our votes was not in the agreement -- otherwise there wouldn't have been the strongarming and vote of the DNC on how to handle us since we're so darn bad. Gimme a break on the character crap too. It's a power play by Howard Dean and his crew. Hillary played by the rules...she didn't campaign here. (9 hrs ago | post #928)
Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama
And there's more to it than what you're reporting. So many want to believe Clinton did nothing and that's simply not true...but then, truth doesn't seem to matter much anymore. http://www.snopes. com/rumors/clinton .asp (9 hrs ago | post #925)
Edwards gives long-awaited endorsement to Obama
If Obama had gone first, he likely wouldn't have even had an answer. Get him off-script and he stumbles and stutters like a first time public speaker. (9 hrs ago | post #922)
House rejects bill funding Iraq and Afghanistan wars
Hey, I know exactly where your ISP location is! Small world...but maybe you'd be willing to explain why we're in this war, why it's worth fighting, how we're winning, and...how you figure those who are not pro-war are commies. And for heaven's sake if I hear one more person say our troops are "fighting for our freedom" I may throw up. Our freedom had nothing to do with toppling Saddam and staying in the middle of a civil war. (10 hrs ago | post #29)

Well, I kinda thought the same thing only it wasn't "backbone " that immediately came to mind. (11 hrs ago | post #7)
