Stagnating Temperatures: Climatologists Baffled by Global Warmi...

Being in Chicago, you honestly say this about Florida???? While you're freezing your butt, I'm sitting here with doors and windows open, the sun is shining, my husband is mowing the lawn, and I'm hoping it's cooler for Thanksgiving! We won't sink, just more of us will live on ocean-front property.  (Saturday Nov 21 | post #83)

Obama's Muslim Problem - Has he been too conciliatory?

IrrationalRightwin ger wrote: <quoted text> What about our Bible's Old Testament, it's pretty radical, isn't it? The Bible talks a lot about women's need to obey their men; it supports slavery; it supports killing enemies/sinners; it supports sacrificial killings(Abraham); it supports polygamy. Are we living in confusion? The Old Testament & the Koran sound almost identical to meI take that to mean that Muslims have never come into our time period where the years end with A.D., right?  (Friday Nov 20 | post #299)

Stagnating Temperatures: Climatologists Baffled by Global Warmi...

If this is true, I hope some of that cooler weather comes to Florida soon. We've had our a/c running since April and here it is Nov. 20th and it's still in the 80's. Just a couple of weeks ago it was in the 90's...so, please, pass the cool weather around! It's been an unusually hot fall here. The MEAN temperature in October 2009 for Orlando was 86 -- the average is 78.  (Friday Nov 20 | post #38)

One Staffer Dead As Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Crashes

Don't you think news articles are placed on Topix for something other than "debate" ? There are plenty of people who would care if Miley was hurt or worse. And it's a shame some people can't have a bit of sympathy for someone who died, even if you don't know them.  (Friday Nov 20 | post #8)

Obama urges Congress to put off Fort Hood probe

It is on page 32 of the PDF counter...I believe it's maybe page 29 of the numbered document. (I didn't recheck page numbers for accuracy...if that's your priority, feel free.)  (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #194)

Obama urges Congress to put off Fort Hood probe

If he was Muslim, he was not a believer in Christ Jesus as the Messiah and Savior. Murder is also a sin under "grace". ..it's also against the law of the United States of America. John 8:32 (King James Version) 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #193)

Five-Year-Old Shaniya Davis Found Dead

I don't care what she eventually is diagnosed with as long as she's held accountable for the dispicable and depraved way she sold her daughter, knowing what that precious child would have to endure. This woman needs a few moms let loose on her and see just how long she survives. Honest to God, I think He'd forgive us...  (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #65)

Obama urges Congress to put off Fort Hood probe

Read the whole chapter in the proper context with the understanding this is to the Hebrew people. We're not under the law anymore, but because of Christ we're under Grace...maybe you should read the New Testament.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #153)

Obama urges Congress to put off Fort Hood probe

I hardly think the George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute is some wing-nut organization. My point is that it is suspect for this guy to be mentioned in any Homeland Security plans. Who knows what he found out or heard and relayed on to his al qaeda recruiter-Imam? No I don't think Obama had anything to do with this, but I'm beginning to see a pattern of his protecting Muslims, even bowing down to some. Obama needs to figure out what his loyalties are and right now he's not impressing me as loyal to the USA.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #150)

Obama's Muslim Problem - Has he been too conciliatory?

Does that mean that once again slavery is alive and well in the USA? Unfortunately, they not only own him, but they get us too.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #252)

Five-Year-Old Shaniya Davis Found Dead

Oh, that poor baby! Rest in the arms of Jesus now sweetheart, they can't hurt you anymore. How can a mother even contemplate doing something like selling her child as a sex slave? This is possibly the sickest thing I've ever read outside of novels. And the guy(s) involved ... all of you should be hanged, along with the mother, in the public square and made to suffer a horrible death on your way to meet your Maker.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #1)

I haven't even been to the FOX website and haven't seen one single program today. I went to the link provided which is not some wing-nut website. Maybe you'd be more informed if you would do the same instead of just criticizing before seeing it in print.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #136)

Drug firms raise prices ahead of reform

Thank you! I would guess that maintenance drugs are the more expensive. Usually if someone can get better and return to wellness in a month, it's probably a surgery requiring short term meds or an infection that can be fixed with an antibiotic. I recently found out I have a mild heart condition but requires ongoing medications. My husband is diabetic so that's maintenance. And before somebody tries to slam him because he's "fat and out of shape", that's just not true. He is very active and not overweight and his diabetes is well maintained with meds. Between us our medications would cost over $1500/mo. if we paid retail. I don't know how people manage who have little to no prescription coverage.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #13)

I've read this and even reposted something similar but I cannot believe it's not getting more attention.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #128)
