A Place for WOMEN to Chit-Chat about Life! NO TROLLS!

Hey Ladies, Just checking in on everyone. Been a bad winter so far. Grandma died a month ago. She had pneumonia and her liver shut down. She was shy of my grandfathers year death anniversary by 14 days. Very sad month. I did get married on Valentines Day. Things are well so far. My son is very challenging. Found our first condoms so I have been talking to him everyday about his responsibility and that he knows he can come to me if he needed. Hope everyone is well. Take care and Ill see you all soon. A Place for WOMEN to Chit-Chat about Life! NO TROLLS!

Hey ladies. Just thought i would share some REALLY good news about my grandmother. While she has not gained back her eye sight, she has decided to stay in the nursing home. I am not sure if I mentioned a few months ago, but my mother had used my grandfathers credit cards and I reported her to the state of NJ. From there, an investigator has been lingering around. He has deemed my grandmother of not having a sound mind for the last two years. That being said, anyone who has borrowed money from her in the last two years must pay back or they will lose their inheritance. My mother also has to put my grandmothers house on the market next month. That means the will in which my mother had written two days after my grandfather died is also null and void. She gave herself life rights to their house. Well, needless to say, I am so happy. I feel so vindicated. I have been grinning all day. Oh yeah, I am getting married. October 23, 2010. Staying off Topix, really helped me. But it is still interesting to see who is still here  (Nov 17, 2008 | post #22415)

I have not adopted. I actually created that several months back while the wars broke out around the abortion rooms. I am pro choice...ugh, long story. Anyway, no, I have not but wish I could. Right now, I have volunteered at a shelter to play with kids. I just do not have time with my crazy life right now. It has been a crazy year for me.  (Oct 24, 2008 | post #20116)

Changed her diet. No more rice, white bread, needs higher fiber...all of that happy stuff. There is this powder mix...MIRALAX...a very soft laxative/fiber replacement that she has to take for at least 4 months until her intestines become a normal size again.  (Oct 23, 2008 | post #20076)

Hi Auburn, I used to be on here a lot before but have stopped due to a lot of BS. I caused a lot and was also provoked so I did the next best thing and stay away now. I pop in every once in a while just to see what is going on. I would like to share something with you about kids and being sick as I just have gone through this problem. while I do not know what your children had, neither did I when my one daughter came down with flu like symptoms. The second week of school, she stayed out with stomach pains and fever. I thought it was just a virus. Then, she became incontinent. 12 years old and could not hold any bowel movement so I thought. So, I began to wonder and I thought she had diareah(sp?) and gave her OTC meds for four days trying each one. Nothing. Still bowel all over. A co-worker had the same problem with her kid and said the pediatrician said it was a virus and to run its course. i waited and my daughter stopped eating and that is when I worried. I took her to the er and they diagnosed her with severe abdominal pains/diareah. She was also dehydrated. Took her home and tried to make an appt. for her but there was nothing available til Nov. I called the hospital back and they said to take her to a regional ER facility. I did. As it turned out, she was severly constipated. Her intestines are so inflamed that she was a mess. Well without going through everything, my point is, what seems like a minor thing can be so major. A fever turned into severe constipation. Please be careful. I can't begin to tell you the looks I got from the Dr. because she stayed like that for about 10 days. My theory was, I have three kids and I am not going to run to the Dr. every time. Just do not wait to long.  (Oct 23, 2008 | post #20069)

Is abortion OK if the baby has a disability?

How are you going to hold people accountable for not wanting to care for their unplanned pregnancy. Just thought I asked. It seems the US is overwhelmed right now with over crowded jails because of criminals. So, now you will 'make' someone have their baby. After that, it is here and is a victim of resentment, abuse, neglect and possibly murder. So, where does your idea hold its own on making someone accountable.  (Oct 13, 2008 | post #1200)

OMG, thank nyou ladies for your support. Just want to let you know that my grandmother can see EYEBALLS!!!! She was so excited when she said, "Today is the first day that I can someones eyeballs!" How exciting for her. She looks well but did not get to stay long. She had more therapy to tend to. Thanks again for your prayers ladies. I am a firm believer when it comes to these things that GOD does hear you.  (Sep 9, 2008 | post #18104)

Hi ladies. Just checking in. Grandma is in rehab now. She has lost her sight. In the meantime, that horrible person who gave birth to me has stolen about 10,000 bucks from her that I know of since she has been in the hospital. Contacted police and APS but it all requires time. I hate waiting... Take care everyone. How's school Sue? I am amazed at 6 classes. Are you dizzy yet? I am able to do three and keep a great average. Would be afraid to tackle any more than that.  (Sep 8, 2008 | post #18072)

She had an MRI today and they are waiting for the results on that. She may have this disease that eliminates the vision in elderly and I can't remember how to spell it or even say it. So, depending on the MRI results, she may need a biopsy and a cornea transplant since she is completly blind now. That being said, she has laid in the bed since Thursday and is very unstable and she will be transferred to a rehab after her discharge. Poor grandma but at least she is still around for a while longer. She really is happy now. Its been tough since grandpa died. Thank for asking Pam  (Aug 24, 2008 | post #17742)

Wow. You all just do not know what to argue about. Can't you just pick one topic and stick to that? The poor new people coming into these threads are having a heck of a time trying to keep up with the insanity!!!!  (Aug 24, 2008 | post #17739)
