Are you sick and tired of Obama?

Every President has been handed a brown bag, some worse than others...what's so GREAT about Obama? One of the biggest problems this country has is it's not being run as a business, and it most certainly needs to be. Take your pick of successful profitable businessmen or women, and frankly, I think that would have been a better option. The Dem and Repubs screwed up last election.  (Jun 28, 2010 | post #23)

Barack Obama, our next President

Actually, this back and forth crap is ridiculous. Both sides. I hate to admit it, but the last decent President we had was Clinton - and I didn't vote for him. Time to wipe out the cesspool that has become Washington and start all over again. Every last one needs to go.  (Jun 9, 2010 | post #138615)

Why do people still fly Confederate Flags?

Doesn't matter what flag someone flies in your yard, what someone wears on their head, what someone drives down the road - if you don't want to see it, don't look at it. It's none of your business, and unless it hurts you, keep your mouth shut. This is America, and flying a flag on your personal property is completely legal, and no law requires you to defend your position. That goes for both sides of this little war that is so over the top and beaten to a pulp it's ridiculous.  (Mar 3, 2010 | post #56)

What kind of laws do Democrats believe in?

If anyone has half a brain and is willing to do their own research instead of believing their favorite talking head, they would know that our current crisis is neither liberal or conservative at heart, but political swaggering to gain government control of the citizens of America. There are also some on both sides of the political arena that are opposed to such acts, unfortunately, they are few and far between. When all of us finally come to the conclusion that politics is a money/power game that is not largely intended to benefit American citizens, then we can throw away this he said she said BS and demand from our federal government what it was crafted to do. In the meantime - everyone should criticize and question everyone in our federal government, and yes, that includes our President. If we don't, we then hand our country (which belongs to US not the FED) willingly over to Washington, and by virtue of their relationship, over to Wall Street as well. I have never, nor will I ever, blindly follow my leaders - and neither should any of us.  (Jul 10, 2009 | post #15)

Others' money

Physically, mentally or otherwise disabled is a far stretch from "choosing to suck off the public teet". I think everyone would agree that we need to take care of those that truly can not provide for themselves - the others, put up or shut up. I've had a few financial crises where I thought I wouldn't be able to make it through, but I did. So can anyone else that is capable of working.  (Jul 10, 2009 | post #468)

If it is voluntary, why are we criminally prosecuted when we refuse to pay it? What government class did you take in school?  (Jul 2, 2009 | post #396)

Now, that's along my line of thinking!!! Get Wall Street off of Washington Avenue, and we might just get somewhere.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #1889)

You are very naive to believe that our economic problems began with Bush - they started a long, long time ago, Jean. Please look into that further, as your argument is getting stale...  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #1886)

Actually he provided a very good idea: stop spending. How about not spending on anything except the most basic of government responsibilities, instead of making the Fed even bigger? That would be a start.... And before you bring Bush into the picture YET AGAIN, how about Obama not follow in Bush's footsteps and actually make some change? I'll tell you what you're not realizing...Obama lied to you all during his campaign, to get your vote, knowing that when he got elected (and he knew that would happen too), he would do an about face (as Wall Street and Pelosi told him to). He is a puppet, just like Bush, Clinton and Bush number 1. I don't consider him lying to me, because I didn't believe much of what he had to say anyway. Please don't flatter yourselves into thinking he's got you back and has our best interest at heart. We need a new breed of politicians, and I think that Obama is the last straw for Americans. We'll see what happens....  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #1884)

Unfortunately, we got more of Bush. McCain doesn't seem so bad a pick now...but hindsight is 20/20, no isn't it?  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #1873)

Now why would anyone disagree with your statement? Is Obama above criticism? I say our constitution states he is NOT.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #1868)

It appears to me that so many of you were glad to see Bush go, but just can't seem to let go of him.... Party's over, Jean. I was glad to see him go too, but Obama certainly is not Bush's opposite, and if you believe that, I've got a bridge somewhere, I am sure (once I get my stimulus money).  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #1866)
