Dandruff and African American Hair

Nizoral is the best choice for African American hair that has dandruff, because you can wash every 4th day and it will still work. Every other dandruff shampoo on the market needs to be used at least every other day. Oh, and this stuff is for sale at almost every mass retailer, so please don't think I'm spamming you. I'm just posting what I know.  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #1)

Some things I have found to help rosacea

1% salicylic acid solution Mineral foundation (powder not liquid) as it contains no preservatives Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser Not eating spicy foods Using only lukewarm water on the face Do not use a lip balm that contains mint, camphor, menthol, or anything that makes your lips tingle I hope this helps someone.  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #1)

No need to be red-faced over rosacea

Real Help, you are so right. My step-mother has rosacea. For two years she used a 1% salicylic acid and it helped her rosacea immensely. Then suddenly, it made everything worse. It was the strangest thing.  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #3)

Try washing face with Head & Shoulders shampoo

My concern with using a dandruff shampoo is the added colors and scents. Rosacea sufferers are a lot more sensitive than the average person. If you want to try this, I would test a spot about a dime in size and see what happens for a week, before trying it on your entire face.  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #45)

Acne Vulgaris

where are ance products for sensitive skin?

Try www.cosmeticscop.c om I have sensitive skin as well. Things that say they're hypoallergenic make my face fall off. (Well, not literally.) I've been using her products for years and I've only had one allergic reaction. Oh, and they refunded my money and paid the return shipping. :) I hope this helps your poor face. Trust me -- I know how you feel!  (Sep 15, 2009 | post #5)
