Weightlessness of Atheism?

Brilliant (really, no joke). I'm almost speechless. You've basically summed up the reasoning behind my doubts about the validity of religion in general. You can ask a believer as many intelligent questions as you want and you will never get a straight answer. Hell, the Christians themselves can't even come to a consensus about what they believe. This is especially ironic considering how important religion is to some people. I've never met an atheist that wasn't 100% sure of his or her beliefs (or lack thereof).  (Apr 4, 2010 | post #4)

Christianity Versus Atheism: Liberal Democrat Dilemma

Resticts welfare from legal immigrants" You're absolutely right, the illegal immigrants are the ones draining our country dry. I've never listened to anything Lou Dobbs has said. Unlike you, i see this every day in the real world, I see the government take money out of my check and I also see where it goes. I don't just take the liberal media's word for it. I said i was CONSERVATIVE libertarian. Yes I'm familiar with the act. I'm looking over my old government notes just to be sure. Even though that plan had good intentions, like requiring those who receive the subsuidy to be looking for a job. There's no way for the govt to prove these people are or aren't really looking for jobs. It's easier for the government to just continue paying out the money than ask for any proof that the slackers have been looking for a job. Five years is way too long to be providing funds. If you can't a job in 5 weeks, let alone 5 years, you really are a freeloading slacker piece of shit. I've worked all my life, I've never had trouble finding a job even when i was withouth a vehicle and had no degree, and if I did have trouble finding a job I would much rather work at McDonalds or Wal-Mart than steal money from my fellow americans. Those two companies are just a few examples of places that will hire any retard, but if you can't get a job there it's because you just don't want to work. I drive by these people every day. Guess what, they're not out looking for jobs, they're sitting on their porches smoking newports or out on streetcorner begging. The only time they break their slacker routine is to go to the mailbox for their check. If they'd get off their lazy asses and go look for a job, they could easily find one. So don't come in here questiong my political affiliation when you're spouting nothing but biased liberal bullshit.  (Sep 5, 2009 | post #49)

Yes and idea is a physical thing. It's part of your thought process. Chemical changes in your brain control tiny electrical impulses amongst neurons linked by synapses that produce brain activity and the thought process. God doesn't fall into that schematic anywhereGood question Chuckie, the answer is... They can'tYou're making no sense at all.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1650)

Your're the one in the atheism forum dumbass. Why don't you go away, back to your fantasy world. I'm sure you'll find more idiots to agree with you in the christian forum than you'll ever find here.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1567)

Stop banging on our door, John. We've already opened it, listened to YOUR bullshit, told you what we thought, and slammed the door in your face. Now comes the time for you to move on to the next door, or just give up and stop wasting both of our time. If heaven is so great and the world is so fukked up, why don't christians just kill themselves and leave this awful place.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1566)

I said minimal government interaction, not a complete lack thereof. I agree we need rules and laws, but the decisions are being made by people that shouldn't be making decisions. Compromises are made but a compromise is nothing more than one side giving up. Bad thing is, the wrong sides are giving up. I would like to think that most people are honest and have good intentions, but the fact is that the majority of government officials are "people without principle, conscience, or any kind of self respect" as you would put it. They are liars, thieves, cheats, and megalomaniacs. Wouldn't that be a good enough reason for keeping the government out of private enterprise?  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #44)

Fine! I will. If you don't think they're real pray to them. They listen to all but only talk to me because I am worthy :)  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1555)

Infinity can exist in any direction, including backwards. Like negative infinity, nothing comes before it, just infinity. Come on, that's pre-algebra.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1518)

Exactly. If there is no design than there's no need for a designer.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1513)

I have three tiny mermaids that live in the tank on my toilet. I think I can help here. As cool as it would be to have a dragon in your garage, it's not possible. Dargons aren't real, and neither is god!  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1505)

Language has nothing to do with what I was talking about. What you are saying has nothing to do with anything anyone has said. You are shooting in the wrong thread, with blanks.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1502)

There is no design. Only matahematical patterns. How do you know that painting hasn't been there forever, infinite in time, just like the universe?  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #1463)
