As much as you want to not like "Saint Tebow", you have to admire the fact that he is very well-rounded individual who's very grounded in his life. I hope that he remains that way throughout his career. This should be the person that children are modeling themselves after. The "ghettofabulo us" lifestyle is empty and meaningless. When fame and fortune become your so-called "purpose " in life, you are essentially a **** . (Jun 16, 2008 | post #43)
The law says 18. I suppose we should start serving people alcohol a week before their 21st birthday, too. (May 2, 2008 | post #39)
$3 million dollar budget shortfall and you're worried about "truck nutz"? Sounds like our government needs them more than the trucks do. (May 2, 2008 | post #20)
Hope and Change are nothing without action. It's easy to wish for Hope and Change, but at what cost? I hear all three candidates talk about throwing MORE money at problems. Clinton's "change" will cost $50 billion PER YEAR, Obama's "change" : $27 BILLION, McCain: $7 BILLION. The government is not the answer! When people take control of their own lives and keep the government out, that's where true reform happens. WAKE UP! The government wants us to be dependent on them so that they can retain POWER! This is quite amazing! I agree with "Ruckus" post: split the money up amongst incoming classes. While I don't think it will create animosity, I will bring a more interest to a new medical school, attracting better candidates if the possibility of a full scholarship is available. It'a apalling that our "leaders " allowed those who don't pay taxes to receive this money. I speculate that those individuals will be sqandering their checks then wanting more because they're still poor. (Apr 30, 2008 | post #3)
br> It's the mentality that it's my way, or it's no way. Science is based upon posing questions (theories) and proving or disproving them. I was taught both as well and I too believe what I want to believe. People are afraid of the unknown. Faith gives some people the ability to believe in something so that they're no longer afraid. Those without a faith are afraid to be wrong so will do whatever is possible to make sure they're not wrong. Unfortunately, children are losing out on critical thinking skills when we spoon feed them one thing or the other. (Apr 28, 2008 | post #4)
