Hi Carol, miss me much? I dunno if you could say that the deficit reduction of almost $1 Trillion from Bush's last budget to the last complete FY (FY2014) was not significant. It ain't perfect, perfect would be a significant surplus until the debt is a single digit percentage of GDP. Haven't been on here in a while, got a Trump stamp on your bumper? Just a wacky guess.  (Dec 13, 2015 | post #1431162)

Who's going to pick the lettuce? The guy with a fine arts degree (no, he's gonna work at Starbucks) or the guy who humped his way up here from Guatemala?  (Sep 7, 2015 | post #1383935)

Meanwhile the grownups are waiting to hear a single Trump "solution " that is remotely grounded in reality. When he's facing a political shark like Clinton in the general and every single barb is treated like a "gotcha' he'll go down in flames a la Palin.  (Sep 6, 2015 | post #1383551)

Immigration is the cure for low reproduction rates in successful countries like Sweden and Germany whose workforce will not be able to sustain their senior social programs. In the US, the same people looking for a fix for Social Security want to throw out more than 10% of our workforce rather than simply have them contribute to the same social programs as the rest of us do.  (Sep 6, 2015 | post #1383549)

To follow up, looking at Kasich's numbers in NH is he going to end up being the party's grown up candidate? I think he looks really good in the general, especially if Clinton implodes as in '08 and Saunders gets the hat.  (Sep 6, 2015 | post #1383548)

You nibble around the edges without getting to the real root of the problem. Is the problem really that we have an immigrant workforce that does work that Americans won't do for minimum wage and helps to keep consumer costs low or is it that we have institutions like welfare and minimum wages?  (Sep 6, 2015 | post #1383546)

That's only if you're a wage earner and how many of the wealthy are wage owners? I found that out the hard way going from owning a business to being a salaried employee.  (Sep 6, 2015 | post #1383544)

You realize over 120 million people voted for POTUS in 2012? That's a whole lot more than Fox's 6 million viewers, y'all are gonna have to do better than email servers and Benghazi. How about putting up a serious candidate?  (Sep 5, 2015 | post #1383363)

Its the GOP, deficit spending doesn't matter as long as its their deficit spending. Trump will simply borrow more money from China. Duh!  (Sep 5, 2015 | post #1383350)

Trump claims to want (I don't believe any of his populist rhetoric) and claims to have a plan to deport 11 million people from the US and pay for it by seizing their assets. Really? That's the "plan"? Meanwhile I expected to come on here and find Carol hyperventilating about how they're "illegalizing christianity" with this chowderhead in KY. No such luck.  (Sep 5, 2015 | post #1383343)
