New Stores Coming to Hickory

Are there any KMarts in the Hickory area? How about Sears? Oh, regarding my comment above about Panera Bread...I made a mistake, I was thinking of Atlanta Bread company on Catabwa Valley Blvd.  (Jul 24, 2007 | post #21)

how much do you pay for charter? How about Bellsouth DSL, the middle priced one (we can't use Lite with Remote Desktop, we work at home and the speed is just not enough...)  (Jul 24, 2007 | post #8)

New Stores Coming to Hickory

Is Panera Bread really popular in NC? Isn't there one on 70 in Hickory? Where is NC 127? In Conover? We are moving to Newton in a few months.  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #12)

Shots fired in road rage incident

what time did this take place? I don't think the article mentioned...was it during the day or at night? not like it matters too much, but it seems like more crime is starting to filter in...nervous as we are moving to Newton in a few months.  (Jul 6, 2007 | post #2)

Advice on moving to Hickory, NC

We are moving to the Hickory area in a few months. Friends of our have lived there for a year and a half. Have you visited the area? You will never run out of outdoor stuff to do. The mountains are less than an hour away, there are tons of parks and lakes...Beaches, well Hickory is about 2-3 hours from the coast, but make it a day trip! The homes in NC are beautiful. I'm living in FL now, but born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Dupage County. Walgreens is a good company, we have a friend that used to work for them in a town called Morganton. I believe there's only 1 Walgreens in Hickory, but I hope they do build some near our town (Newton). I don't know your price range, but I'm sure you can get a nice 3/2/2 for around 160,000, just depends what you are looking for. Google Hickory and see what comes up. It's a very friendly town. I can't wait to move. good luck! -dawn  (Jun 21, 2007 | post #2)

DSL in Hickory/Newton

Is Bellsouth in NC? We are moving in 6 months and currently have a BellSouth DSL and it would be great if we didn't have to cancel service. Any info would be great! Thanks!  (May 30, 2007 | post #1)

Stay at home dads.

My husband and I will be moving to the area. We have two girls, ages 1 and 3. We will both be working from home, but my husband will be working mainly at night while I work during the day. We should be up there by the end of the year and are interested in some kind of play group. Do you live in Hickory? We are moving to Newton.  (May 6, 2007 | post #2)
