There is indeed. I will say that it is the nicest Wal-Mart I've ever been in, and, oddly, at times, it looks almost like a Costco. It's still a Wal-Mart, but it's spacious and has a good-sized grocery, probably a tad bigger than the Super Target. Not bad...  (Nov 15, 2009 | post #2105)

We tried 55's this morning for breakfast, and we were pretty pleased. It's not great, but it was a nice experience. As others have noted, the bread is a treat - our picky five-year-old even liked it. Service was a little slow - especially considering there were three tables filled on a weekday morning - and the menu is oddly tilted towards a la carte items (instead of full meals), but the food was good and the prices are reasonable. We won't rush back next week, but we certainly plan to return.  (Aug 26, 2009 | post #1972)

I think some people speculated on this a while back, but, with construction equipment fully visible now, what exactly is going in across the street from Bloom? Was it more than just a bank?  (Aug 14, 2009 | post #1952)

Anyone have any recommendations on a good Greek place anywhere in the area?  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #1912)

With the Safeway and the Home Depot both out of the picture, is there ANYTHING going on with that development at 55 & 15?  (Jul 5, 2009 | post #1811)

That rendition was pretty cool! Of course, it also made me realize how much time remains... :(  (Jun 16, 2009 | post #1779)

We had our first taste of Desiderio's tonight as well, and we were very pleased. The layout of the place is a little odd - it was strange seeing a restaurant without any booths - but the food was quite good, as was the service. No complaints!  (May 8, 2009 | post #1703)

Any more truth to that rumor that the Harris Teeter is officially closing down?  (May 5, 2009 | post #1694)

Anyone know of a good place in the area for a Mother's Day brunch?  (May 2, 2009 | post #1684)

Agreed - all things considered, the steaks at the GAR sites are pretty solid. As for Desiderio's, it's apparently opening on Tuesday, which will make for a nice addition...  (Apr 23, 2009 | post #1653)

We're a little partial to Mike's in Springfield, but, really, as chains go, any of them would be a worthy addition to the area...  (Apr 16, 2009 | post #1610)

I had hopes for that place way back when, but it never did live up to them...  (Apr 15, 2009 | post #1601)

Is that true?! The Teeter at 29/15 is closing down already?! On a related note, is our Wegmans considered busy? I've been to the Fairfax one, and it's always seemed crazier than ours!  (Mar 30, 2009 | post #1557)

With all the other places (Mimi's, Chick-fil-a) handing things out, I thought I'd ask: Does Chipotle typically do anything for its first wave of customers?  (Mar 26, 2009 | post #1547)

The Safeway is out, too? People have been saying Home Depot was gone, but, if Safeway is gone, too, what is left?  (Mar 23, 2009 | post #1534)
