Bullshit. Karzai has no plan to include the Taliban in the government. That is the very last thing he wants. The only people who have a plan to include the Taliban in the government of Afghanistan is the Taliban and Obama. So, try again. What possible reason would we have to have any "talks" with the Taliban? This time, say something that's actually believable. Then, kindly tell us why we should just pack up and leave now. underpaid" and minimum wage are not the same thing. And, you're talking to someone who worked for minimum wage more than once. I supported myself. Of course, I had to have room mates and didn't have a lot. But, I worked every day and I rose above minimum wage just by going to work every day and doing what I was paid to do. Try substituting the word "won't" for the word "can't" in your sentence. My observations, combined with my first-hand experience is that people making minimum wage are only worth minimum wage, either because they are new to the work force and have not yet proved themselves, or they have already proved themselves to be useless. How the problem came about can be a topic for leisure discussion at a bar-b-q some time in the future after we fix the problem. Like I said, nobody should be forced to pay more for the same worthless product/worker. If you want to earn more money, become worth more to the economy. Or, get a government job. And, anyone who is concerned about raising a family does these things: 1) They didn't drop out of school 2) They got a job. 3) They show up for work every day on time. 4) They do what they're paid to do when they are at work. And, as a result of doing the above, they are making more than minimum wage. Anyone who is still making minimum wage after a couple of years in the workforce doesn't put a high prioroty on ... how did you put it... supporting themselves. If they're still making minimum wage, that's all they're worth... if that. If you want to earn more, become worth more. No wonder you're a Marxist. You want to be worthless and get paid as if you're actually worth something. I'm for getting rid of the minimum wage entirely. There are so many examples we can use here, like Obama issuing executive orders outside the authority of the Executive Branch like he can just write his own laws to suit the agenda; starting wars in Libya; etc., etc., etc. I have an idea. How about we just look at the Cosntitution and compare it to what the Obama administration is doing. The Constitution states: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." You seem to be saying that the government has a right to that money. Is this correct? Given that the government can't stop itself from spending more than it has in revenue, if the government consumes that 70 trillion dollars to cover the debt, and there is obviously no control of the deficit, when that 70 trillion dollars is gone there will still be a need for the government to get more money. After that 70 trillion dollars is spent by the government, what is the next source of money the government will obviously need? Also, that 70 trillion dollars belongs to the people who create the jobs. If you take that 70 trillion dollars, you also eliminate the jobs those people make possible. Now, you have created an entire nation of unemployed people. If it's unequal distribution of wealth that concerns you, I'll tell you how to create a more equal distribution of wealth. Let's start with (what should be) an obvious fact: Wealth never has been, is not now, and never will be evenly distributed. It is an impossibility. Nations with a more even distribution of wealth are coincidentally also the nations with the highest level of education of the population. If you want a more even distribution of wealth here, how about developing a more educated population? Your only other alternative is to canibalize the existing wealth to subsidize the very reason the wealth is less evenly distributed than you would like. You're an ignorant fool.
