iS IT WRONG TO WORSHIP GOD ON SUNDAY?

I John 4:7-16 NKJV Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.  (Oct 19, 2013 | post #4521)

Jesus stated Ten C's was their JEWISH LAW

Actually Paul is speaking to Christians, who were formerly Jewish, and yet are still observing Jewish days, months, years and festivals. The pattern of days, months, and years is quite common among the Biblical writers. This pattern can be seen in both the Old Testament and New Testament. Paul quite commonly uses two messages in his writings. The first is the Gospel and the second is the instructions on Christian living/lifestyle. He most often spoke to former Jews who had converted to Christianity. Jews are not Christians, for one must be a follower of Jesus Christ to be called a Christian and Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, Son of God. Jews do believe in God the Father and are rightly called the children of God, but they are not the same as Christians.  (Oct 16, 2013 | post #597)

Evangelicals cannot defeat Progressive SDA doctrine

Mark 16:19 NKJV So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. Hebrews 10:12 NKJV But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, Acts 2:33 NKJV Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. Acts 7:55-56 NKJV But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” Romans 8:34 NKJV Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Colossians 3:1 NKJV If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. I Peter 3:22 NKJV who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.  (Oct 11, 2013 | post #231)

The most holy of holies is to be in the presence of God. When Jesus ascended to heaven and sat at the right hand of God, He entered the most holy of holies! The day of atonement was fulfilled upon Jesus' ascension.  (Oct 11, 2013 | post #229)

How enduring are Gods Commandments?

Yes, what does the Bible have to say about the Ten commandments, that which was engraved on stone? II Corinthians 3:7-18 NKJV But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is , there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. Galatians 2:14-21 NKJV But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews? We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”  (Oct 11, 2013 | post #4)

GE, you were the originator of the idea that the comma was in the wrong place, not I! I have repeatedly explained to Sitka and a few others, that the Greek manuscripts contain no punctuation, nor do they contain chapter and verse numbers!  (Oct 10, 2013 | post #4402)

Sitka and I are talking about Exodus 5, Israel is still captive in Egypt. Exodus 16 occurs AFTER Israel was BROUGHT out of Egypt by God. Once again, you seem to have trouble with chronological order.  (Oct 10, 2013 | post #587)

What Is The Mark of the Beast???

So sad that you feel that way GE! Christians can be 'preached to' any day of the week, and Sabbatarians are also Christians. Going to church on Saturday is no different then going to church on Sunday. Christianity is not limited to any one day.  (Oct 10, 2013 | post #2571)

Does everyone now realize that Elijah the prophet is amon...

Matthew 11:11-15 NKJV “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Matthew 17:11-13 NKJV Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.  (Oct 10, 2013 | post #129)

No, it is not an assumption to think that the Israelites had not been taught about the Sabbath day yet. One, there is not one scripture prior to that event about the Israelites having known of or about the Sabbath day! Two, the Bible records the giving of the Law, as occurring AFTER the Israelites left Egypt. Deuteronomy 4:44-45 NKJV Now this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel. These are the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which Moses spoke to the children of Israel after they came out of Egypt, By the mouth of God even! Declaring to them AFTER bringing them out of Egypt. Exodus 20:2 NKJV “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.  (Oct 7, 2013 | post #569)

What Is The Mark of the Beast???

Yes, the church is not the building. The building is nothing but brick, stone, concrete, wood, mortar, etc...! The church is the people! Acts 2:47 NKJV praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Or do you say that the Lord was adding on more rooms to the building here? And this... Revelation 3:6, 13, 22 NKJV 6“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’13“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ 22“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ” Or do you say that the Spirit is talking to buildings here?  (Oct 6, 2013 | post #2563)

What you fail to understand is HOW I esteem everyday alike! You ASSUME that I lift up Sunday over the other days, that is not correct. I lift up every day! For every day is good and holy, for we are now the sanctuary, and the Holy Spirit of God dwells IN us. Life for a Christian is no longer about days, it is about living by love, it is about Jesus! I am not a Christian just one day a week, are you? The activities of a Christian are not limited to just one day a week, or is that what you believe? Do you believe that Christians can only be preached to on Saturdays? Do you believe that Christians can only praise God on Saturdays? Do you believe that Christians can only gather together on Saturdays?  (Oct 6, 2013 | post #2562)

Then why don't you attend a Seventh-day Baptist Church? The SDA church holds up a false prophet as their guide, and uses her interpretations of scripture as their basis for doctrine. And because of this woman, they teach a distorted version of faith and grace! The SDA church lives under the veil of the old testament and Moses....they have not accepted the liberty found in Jesus Christ.  (Oct 6, 2013 | post #2561)

What Is The Mark of the Beast???

I meet with my fellow believers, on Sunday morning, Sunday night, Tuesday morning, Wednesday night, and Thursday night. So, yes we do meet on more than one day! The whole point about the Apostles and plain ordinary Christians meeting on more than Saturdays, is that the decision was made by choice! Not by requirement! This is the simple fact that you overlook....they met by choice, not by requirement!!  (Oct 6, 2013 | post #2560)
