Does anyone elses family ignore them?

It is beyond comprehension when family treats each other this way. I, too, have been extremely nice to in laws for 25 years, though I can't stand them! But, for husbands sake, I kissed their butt. Then I make one remark on facebook that I don't like all the hugging except with my own family and wham! Now they hate me. ha ha. So I told off a sister in law and she has everybody hating me now. Oh, boy! I don't know how this will ever get back to 'normal' again and I don't care anymore. Like previous writer wrote, it's their loss and i can live without them. They are so cold-hearted and phony anyway. Need to vent? Do it. We will listen.  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #5)

New overpass closes other roads?

Are the other roads currently closed going to reopen? The railroad crossing east of overpass that ties in homes south of tracks? The intersection by Schultz road that gives direct route to interstate? Dumb moves I think.  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #1)

Cathy Beard murder?

No one thinks an old bf of Cathy's had anything to do with her murder?  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #42)

Cathy Beard murder?

Just wish someone would come forward with some answers. I have a gut feeling I know who did it and how many more has he done? So disgusting people won't talk and end this.  (Apr 6, 2011 | post #7)

Infighting among Democrats on health care reform

Back to health care reform; Why do the gov't-based health care programs work in some countries if all here say it can't work? I have to do my own homework I feel, because I'm told, but have not yet read about it, that those countries that do have it are extremely happy with it. My sis visitied Denmark and was told that it is a big success over there. My main relief to hear of the gov't taking over was thinking of the many people with average pay struggling to survive and cannot afford the expensive health insurance coming out of their paychecks and praying no one gets sick and would certainly bankrupt them if they do.  (Jul 23, 2009 | post #14)

Neb. Boys Ranch suspend services and eliminate 14 jobs

I do hope they can work out a satisfactory decision to reopening to full capacity. If the problem was referrals, why can't they advertise more and have more referrals through child protective agencies, etc? Children need all the help we can provide them when they come from troubled homes. Child neglect and abuse is way out of hand in today's world. I suspect many go unreported by neighbors not wanting to get involved. Sad situation.  (Jul 23, 2009 | post #2)

Nebraskaa s geography thwarts technology

I also applaud the forecasters; they do an excellent job of reporting upcoming weather and keep you posted. I often think back to weather when we were kids. How did we ever survive with the limited forecasts back then? I counted on my mother's uncanny ability to forecast what was coming up, even though not always accurate. I took some cool pics of the clouds over Grand Island yesterday. Weird looking. Keep up the good work weatherpeople!  (Jul 23, 2009 | post #3)

construction workers

I have to comment on the discussion about men cheating while on a job site; It is true so many do while traveling with their job and it seems the younger they are, the more they are apt to do it. My hubby is in charge of construction job sites and is gone most of the time. The men who work for him 99% of the time go out drinking almost every nite and some do find companionship while doing so, but many do not bring them back to the hotels; they just drink with them. Who really knows how far it goes. I'm glad mine only has an occasional drink and says he stays in the hotel doing paperwork most nights, but the temptation is always there for them, but of course for the women staying at home, too. A good set of morals will keep both from cheating on each other.  (Jul 23, 2009 | post #21)

Cathy Beard murder?

Well, that's sure to get my interest going, but also scary the way you put it. Can I find past subject matter? Will someone hunt me down if I post the question? :)  (May 31, 2009 | post #3)
