FIA World Council meeting today

These clashes are what it's all about for me though, without the personalities it would be just a load of boys going round and round in circles.  (Jun 30, 2009 | post #43)

Hey Bob, nine tenths of what Max says is for effect (sound like anyone we know?) and once we understand that then we can laugh along. C'mon Bob, you never believed any of that hardline stuff did you? Just to be serious a mo' though, I think that Max was trying to turn the clock back to when teams like Williams could actually win the championship by being cleverer than the others, it may have worked this year (unless Vettel makes my cash bet pay off) but not for much longer. You can only catch someone cold once.  (Jun 29, 2009 | post #41)

Okay. Can anyone who has a gripe with Max tell me what it is? (please leave out his personal life as that is irrelevant to his work)  (Jun 28, 2009 | post #36)

Flavio is another one who loves to play the game, especially when it annoys his good friend Bernie (and I'm not being sarcastic here).  (Jun 28, 2009 | post #32)

He Did, but the real reason for the budget cap was to ensure the F1 bandwagon keeps on rolling by attracting new independant teams to F1 should the recession-hit manufacturers withdraw. With the new deal the manufacturers are committed relatively long term.  (Jun 28, 2009 | post #31)

You all seem to be forgetting that Max had already agreed (last year) not to stand for re-election in October. Only last week in the middle of the current disagreement did he throw into the mix his intention to change his mind and stand for election again. This then gave him the opportunity to once again appear to concede something during the negotiations and give the appearence of a good result for his critics, in reality he conceded nothing. The manufacturers have now committed long term which means that and Max & Bernie ultimately have the result they wanted.  (Jun 26, 2009 | post #24)

Hi Nicole, thanks for the welcome, yeah Laz did say he was a Button fan but not me (although he dosent seem as obnoxious as he once was). The Brit press is as predictable as ever; apparently Jenson is now even better than Schumacher! and certainly a step up from hamilton (how could we ever have worshipped him?).  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #32)

Mclarens would have been light in their qualifying attempts and are free to top up to whatever level they choose for the race, only the top ten have to do final qual. with race fuel.  (Jun 6, 2009 | post #16)

I was refering to YOUR opinion of hamilton rather than the opinion of the press.  (May 21, 2009 | post #24)

Agreed Some people thought this forum would be killed by the moronic attention seeker/s (no names) but it seems that it will die at the hand of the kiss-ass sycophants. Yawn  (May 18, 2009 | post #18)
