Updated: Mars Scraps Snickers Spot
Well, this ad won't exactly make me boycott M&M/Mars. But then, that's mainly because I've already boycotted companies whose chocolate comes from cocoa farmed by slaves. Funny, the chocolate that's fairly produced is much better stuff. Sure, a candy bar is more expensive, but I eat less of it, because of the higher quality, and so even manage to save money. No. No love for Das. Nobody will ever have that kind of control over my well-being again. Just no. (27 min ago | post #26846)

Well... yeah. I thought you could tell. Okay, folks, back in the saddle again... We who are about to first-date salute you. Fingers crossed, although it won't take much for this one to be better than the last. (14 hrs ago | post #26792)
Study: U.S. should ditch 'don't ask, don't tell'
How dare you try to bully me into taking back an opinion, which, since it is MINE, is obviously a universal truth for all humankind! (19 hrs ago | post #1313)
Study: U.S. should ditch 'don't ask, don't tell'
I must say I'm rather puzzled by people who come to a discussion board, express an opinion (or, more rarely, a reasoned position), and then become upset and accuse others of bullying when they encounter disagreement. That's kind of what discussion is. (20 hrs ago | post #1311)
No case made against gay marriage
Well, most guys did marry. Family duties and all that. But, how did men lie with women in those days? - Her consent wasn't always necessary. - She was always the subordinate partner, expected to obey. - She owned no property; what was hers could be taken by the man lying with her. - If she was raped, then her rapist's punishment was to marry her. - She could be put out of the household at any time, on the whim of her husband, which the guy lying with her was considered to be, whether she was his wife or not. So, the disturbing thing about Leviticus is not that it forbids one to treat men this way, but that it allows one to treat women this way. (23 hrs ago | post #192)
Good morning, beautifuls! I don't really have any new jokes, and don't really have any news. Just wanted to let y'all know I like you, though. (Yesterday | post #26747)
No case made against gay marriage
Well, I guess the thread title's right. No case. Just a lot of "I don't like it and am not strong enough to deal with that!" from the usual suspects. (Wednesday | post #157)
No case made against gay marriage
What is it with the less intelligent bigots' obsession with bestiality? This silly argument keeps coming up with them... (Wednesday | post #150)
No case made against gay marriage
I think Eric's of the opinion that Abraham was a real bastard. 1. Eric seems to think the Judaeo-Christian religious definition of marriage is the only one that matters. 2. Abraham's parents weren't Jewish or Christian. 3. Not being Jewish or Christian, Abraham's parents couldn't have been married, according to Eric. Ergo, Abraham, the founder of Judaism, was a bastard, according to Eric. Furthermore, Abraham, having been married before founding Judaism, could not have been married according to the Judaeo-Christian standard, which would make Isaac a bastard too. Eric! You should be ashamed of yourself. Calling the founder of your religion a bastard isn't very nice! (Wednesday | post #140)
