Prove there's a god.

Hello Susie, I agree that hatred is a plague of man in general and certainly didn't mean to imply that Christianity CAUSED the behavior. I've known some absolutely wonderful people who were Christian. I meant merely that I found it appalling and that it wasn't making their religion look very good. (Although it could be argued that a religion's merits are reflected in what kind of people are "produced " by said religion... but wasn't intending to make that argument.) Peace and nice meetin' you!  (Dec 15, 2012 | post #573676)

Hey there New Age! Still trying to keep 'em honest, huh? Haven't been on here in a while... I think you're the only one I recognize. 'Course all the arguments, insults and general juvenile behavior hasn't changed!!! Hope you're well and take care! Peace  (Dec 15, 2012 | post #573666)

I believe you misjudge this person by calling them dishonest. I agree with their statement. If something is not logical to me, I have absolutely no power at all to "choose" to believe it. I would have to use the "Jedi mind trick" on myself, so to speak. I have no more capability to believe in most people's "gods" than I have to make myself believe that 2 plus 2 equals 5. Just sayin'... Peace  (Dec 15, 2012 | post #573660)

Why are "Christians " like you such hateful useless people ??? You are not a Christian, JR... NONE of you who are spouting such above hatred are truly Christians. Oh... or maybe you're another one who just insults others to make yourself feel superior? I find it appalling the amount of hatred people like you spew out making Christianity look so horrible. Peace to you all the same.  (Dec 15, 2012 | post #573636)

A Piss-poor troll, at that. As if there's somebody out there who could actually believe such ludicrous statements. Pretty clear he's just jerkin-off to the emotional responses. He DID bring a Slim-JIM, though. Left it on the table. It was good... hey, I was hungry... Peace  (Dec 12, 2012 | post #572757)

Carefull... your opening statements are so utterly indefensible using logic that your whole persona could be shot. If you want to be a GOOD Troll try making statements that could actually, feasibly be *Believed* by someone with even half a brain. You wouldn't want people to stop taking you seriously, would ya'? [*wink*] Peace  (Dec 12, 2012 | post #572752)

It may be *Real* in the same sense that we are Real, as we are also but the "energy" or "force" of consciousness that is manifested through the patterns which have been laid down in our minds. I think about it once in a while for a few minutes." Does this mean your magnetism theories are not what you consider to be in the realm of "life, the universe and everything"? Or do you really spend that little time even on that? (I had assumed it likely occupied a lot of your time) Peace  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #249477)

I Believe In:

Each of us is a spark of the Divine, evolving through self-awareness; the Mystic Jesus; quantum theory; evolution; and the validity of each individual's path. I believe that God reveals Himself to each in accordance with their customs, upbringing and level of understanding. Thus, the god of the OT is remarkably diferent from that of the NT, for the Bible is not *direct* word of God, but the discernments of men, and their understanding of god was affected by the previous religions of men, those of the times in which they lived. The church of Judaism was built with stones from the surrounding landscape - various forms of "paganism". Jesus was the first soul to reach enlightenment and be free of the bondage of reincarnation, (in the life of Buddah), but chose to come back ONCE AGAIN, though not required - but DID for OUR sakes! Seek God not in any book or any words or any other men, but in your own heart!! |
