Sophie713 and HitMe, Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! I am fresh into my recovery process and talking to people gives me a sense of comfort. Also, I wanted to tell you HitMe that i completely agree with you that talking to someone and getting the emotional side dealt with as well is key to actually beating this thing. I live in Oklahoma City and I joined an intensive outpatient program. I'll go to group therapy 3 nights a week for six weeks and also have individual therapy every other week. The therapy sessions are like 3 hours long but the 1st hour is an actual class and/or learning about the 12 step program and then the last 2 hours is group. I start tomorrow night! I am more than anxious and nervous bc ive never really been around other addicts talking out loud about my addiction. But, I honestly think that doing this will give me a whole new outlook on recovery and what its like to actually live sober and not feel like i need to take something to even function. The subutex is helping me and will continue to help until I am strong enough and have all the knowledge and tools to do it on my own ;) I was also just put on wellbutrin for depression... Has seeing a shrink help you overcome your anxiety/depression ?
