Laura Richardson gliding to strong victory

Star light, star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have Star Parker be my guiding light. Pretty good poem huh? Right down the old Pike. Yeah, that's the ticket! Go LAKERS.  (Jun 9, 2010 | post #49)

LB's airport of the future

Great! It is about time. I understand the classic art deco terminal will remain as a cool feature of the past. The artist drawing is just not showing it as it will be on the far west end. This is only showing the NEW part of a great airport. It will be so very nice and hopefully they will soon increase the number of flights. Love to get service to the Mexican Riviera and Hawaii.  (May 25, 2010 | post #13)

Council unanimously approves $600,000 loan for Worthingto...

I have wondered why there are no schools, libraries, hospital wings etc. in Long Beach with Cal's name on them. Evidently Worthington has not never been much of a philinthrpitist. Has he ever done anything for our city? Most of the many years he has been here have been very lucrative. That is why he owns thousands and thousands of acres in Central California. I also feel his business practice's have been far from noble. I know two people who have bought cars at Cal's and both would never go back there. I personally would never go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal.  (May 5, 2010 | post #22)

'Hurt Locker,' Kathryn Bigelow win big

The Hurt Locker" was just another forgetable war movie. Lots of big explosions, blood and gore for the people that thrive on that kind of thing.  (Mar 8, 2010 | post #2)

Tiger Woods: Sorry for behavior, unsure of return

I wonder how those sex addict clinics work? With maybe 20 or 30 boinkmiesters in one little building I would imagine it to be "Orgy City" night after night. Damn let me in there!  (Feb 19, 2010 | post #16)

Long Beach, CA

80 years separates these Alamitos Beach views

The crooked slime that runs this city in entangles with tentacles from the past. Namely Frank Colonna. He owns 1/3 of the peninsula and her fears valuable property that was only a swampy bog before the breakwater was built will return to its former natural self. Poor Frankie boy might have to get a real job instead of sitting around counting his money all day.  (Feb 18, 2010 | post #29)

Long Beach Measure T struggles in very early returns

I had a part time job from middle school ( Jr. High ) right to my high school graduation. Maybe it is time for the students to help out during this critical failure of our economy. Keep 80% for your own fun and games and give 20% to the schools to help during this Republican created disaster. Learn the importance of a good work ethic and help your education at the same time. Cut out a few concerts, movies and other luxuries like we adults are being forced to. My sincere good-luck to you all.  (Nov 4, 2009 | post #68)

Columbia Space Center in Downey set for lift-off

When they retire the incredible shuttles in a few years I certainly expect the Downey facility will receive one. Other than the Aerospace Museum on the Mall in D.C. there is no where else that deserves one more.  (Oct 21, 2009 | post #9)

Marine protection fight is at crucial phase

BJH. It referes to the Jonestown mass suicide back in the late 1970's when Kool-Aid laced with arsenic was the method in killing hundreds of men, women and children. The psychotic Jim Jones was their leader and murderer.  (Oct 19, 2009 | post #11)

Marine protection fight is at crucial phase

Oh how nice that Long Beach is sticking their nose into the marine preservation. It would be a lot better if they would follow their nose to the stagnant cesspool off our own coast and tear down that damn sea wall. You want to see a massive improvement in water quality fast and cheap. It would take about a week for nature to flush the Long Beach toilet and let the pathetic two headed fish be washed out to sea with the rest of the slime.  (Oct 19, 2009 | post #6)

Long Beach wonders what the box office would be worth in ...

Boy the "Schipske haters" are out in force today. Yes, Ms. Schipske is a councilwoman and she is also a resident and taxpayer in the City of Long Beach. She does have a right to her opinions and concerns. She is also the only truly honest and very hard working member of of the city government. Damn people give her a chance and go after DeLong, Foster and the rest of the crooks on our council who are too busy scheming and puffing smoke in the back rooms to even read the citizen's remarks in the PT.  (Oct 18, 2009 | post #15)
