English Only LAW

most of you guys are so self center. you think I only think about myself look what some of you guys are saying. who soulds like the Self-centered people now. Americans, they feel that they are better than everyone and everyone should assimilate to what they believe.  (Oct 29, 2007 | post #14)

Ballet

I am 22 and I just want to try pointe.

This is my sister. Thank you for your suggestions and I hear what you're saying. And yes i am classicaly trained and yes i know all the do's and don'ts of dancing ballet I have not stopped dancing ballet as it is the foundation for all dance. Money is not an issue neither is time. I'm not prone to quitting and I love a good challenge so I'll do what you suggested and take a studio soft shoe and then take pointe if its an option. I love modern too much to stop so i'll continue in that and add a couple of ballet classes to my schedule. I'm really excited to hear that you didn't think my age was a problem. Which was my main concern. I'll ask some other professionals but again thank you for your suggestion.  (Sep 5, 2007 | post #3)

Ballet

I am 22 and I just want to try pointe.

first of all this is my sister not me talking thank you sis for that introduction. anyway I just wondering if pointe shoes were an option for me. I am a classically trained dancer like my sister but i happen to have fallen in love with modern. but i see her pointe shoes and it makes me want to try too. Does the forum feel its too much of an investment in time and money to start something so tedious so cavalier like. Like I still work full time/part time 5 days a week, volunteer teach dance on Saturdays and church on sundays. Is my schedule too occupied. However does anyone now of any schools that teach beginner adults on pointe? If I have a chance.  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #1)

you can ask any nutritionist or doctor and they will tell you there is no such thing as drinking to much water. the person maybe have gotten sick from not going to the bathroom, not from drinking to much water. You are suppose to drink at LEAST half your body weight in water. and yes you are suppose to eat some things in moderation, what I ment was If you wanted to get more of the lean meat then you can eat it without feeling bad about it later.  (Jul 30, 2007 | post #16)

weight

I agree with Dancer, Neviah, and Alexie that is all good advice. also it might be the kind of school your going to. I go to a school where the dancer are lean and what I call a normal size. and everyone is really good. If you want to do dancing pro maggie and singer7749718 try the Russian stlye companies. the dancers are normal size and not the skinny minis that you see on T.V. and they are really good. why not get the best of both worlds.  (Jul 26, 2007 | post #8)
