For Marine's sendoff, his car is keyed

Not that your comment makes sense, but that is exactly why my country, America, is going down the tubes.  (Jan 3, 2008 | post #315)

For Marine's sendoff, his car is keyed

Alright and why should this incident get so much more attention than any other?  (Jan 3, 2008 | post #314)

Thank you. If I am a je rk because I do not like favortism because someone happens to be in the military so be it.  (Jan 3, 2008 | post #201)

And? I did not mean to imply that this was not inspired by hate, but how is it different than someone who hates a person with a nice car and keys it? How is it different from a white person keying a black person's car because he or she is black? Or vice versa? How is it different than a war veteran keying a protestor's car? Its not. The only difference is that he is a Marine. That is why there is all the attention.  (Jan 3, 2008 | post #198)

I agree with Gilda. This happens to lots of people, but because this guy is a Marine it is suddenly such a big deal.  (Jan 3, 2008 | post #2)

Illinois wins coal-energy project

Why not bio-engineer some green plants to even more rapidly absorb the extra gas? Puumping it into the ground because they "think" it will be absorbed in sandstone? Come on. What happens when they thought wrong and it invades ground water or something?  (Dec 18, 2007 | post #8)

CTA workers plan 1-day walk-off

I can understand why the unions want to strike. But simply calling it something other than a strike does not change what it is. If this happened I would actually have to miss work because of it. And if that happens I hope all the employees that are striking illegally are fired. Not because I want to see them punished, but because they are making a conscious choice to negatively affect hundreds of thousands of people and they should be responsible for their actions.  (Dec 13, 2007 | post #15)

Bush Presses Congress on Spending Bill

Bush talking sounds very similar to the sound that accompanies television static. Oh and the television static probably has more intelligence in its message.  (Dec 4, 2007 | post #4)

Rights for embryos proposed

Because pro-life means "in favor of life." You can't be in favor of life in one way and not another and be called pro-life. Just like someone who is pro-abortion, but also wants to mandate gun control or drug use cannot call him or herself pro-choice. You can be called pro-life or pro-choice as far as one particular instance goes, if you are clarified by , "He is pro-life in regards to abortion," but you can't simply say that he is pro-life if supporting the death penalty.  (Dec 3, 2007 | post #63)

You miss the entire point. The point is, if a person is pro-life they should be pro-life with all things, not just with things coming into the world. Death of any kind that is inflicted upon another person by a human being, in any way shape or form, is what a true pro-life person strives to fight. All forms. Regardless of if the process is "just" or not. You can't pick and choose on a pro-life or pro-choice stand. Hence the sub-titles and appropriate uses.  (Dec 3, 2007 | post #51)

Nope, but her mother did decide to let her be born in a nation where she could make the choice for herself.  (Dec 3, 2007 | post #37)

You also forget that if a person is inside of this woman that all costs per person must go up. Trip to a buffet restaurant? That really does become dinner for two. Welfare? Oops, I have an extra person with me, thats more welfare money. Hotel and rent? Thats an extra person, you violate your lease and get kicked out or charged a lot more. Insurance? We're sorry, your insurance doesn't cover your pregnancy. You only have coverage for two and that unborn baby is now a person.  (Dec 3, 2007 | post #16)
