Kansas Right to Bear Arms Question, Constitutional Amendm...

Nice to see you're still stereotyping all gun owners into one group. A few misguided individuals commit acts of mindless violence and somehow it is every gun owners fault. I'm a little confused by this, shouldn't you be blaming the person or persons who committed the crime? Do you ever get tired of typing the same thing over and over? You should get some new material.  (Jun 12, 2013 | post #5646)

Same could be said for a gun. Don't want one, don't buy one! Seems fairly simple!  (Jun 12, 2013 | post #5645)

@ The Kangaroo, I'm curious if the Senate would have voted to continue gun regulations and Congress was against it would you want to do away with Congress instead of the Senate ?  (May 9, 2013 | post #5461)

What?????? Did you forget your meds today? Or are you just plain ass crazy? Eliminate the Senate but add 1000 more reps? Abolish state boundaries then how would you determine which area all these new members would be representing? A little counter productive . I'm lost if you want a Parliamentary government you could just move to England. And you think I'm crazy because I own a few guns.  (May 8, 2013 | post #5453)

Meaningless and futile for a state to stand up and say we got this we don't need anymore supervision from the fed. So your answer is for more Federal government control? Since most of my previous post were before I registered I will fill you in on a few things I have posted before. I am not someone who thinks the government is going to kick my door in and take my guns. I am a hunter and a sport shooter, so the guns I own are hunting rifles. I do not own any AR rifles or any handguns. I do not have any issue with a criminal background check, I get them all the time. My issues are more about the fed forgetting its job and trying to control the people it is supposed to serve. Guns laws should be controlled at the state level not the federal level some states have different issues than others. I don't need some out of touch lifer in Washington deciding what I should or should not own. Most of the ban list are banning things that they have no idea what they are for. Yes know as of right now the talks have been shut down temporally. My biggest issue is all the the false information being spewed out in the primarily liberal media. Get the facts not the left facts or the right facts I want the fact facts.  (May 8, 2013 | post #5450)

So a state standing up for itself is a stunt really? Before you call it a stunt you should read the 9th and 10th amendments. The only way the fed would have jurisdiction would be for interstate commerce which means if it stays in the state the fed is SOL.Besides it's not the first time Ks has told the fed no.  (May 8, 2013 | post #5442)

since the topic had gotten way off track Obama has made statements that would question his claim of citizenship. Most notably the trip to Pakistan in '84 unless the info I read is false he could not have made that trip with s US passport. Second would be why did he file for foreign aid while in college under a false name? Personally I'm not into the whole debate and really don't care. I have never said Obama wants to take our guns but his lackeys in congress do. Any argument you can make can be counteracted with quotes from Fienstien and Pelosey.  (May 7, 2013 | post #5434)

as for who actually placed the monument no idea probably local state employees as for who ordered its placement that would be Roy Moore in 2001 and the monument was removed in 2003. Now can we get back on topic? How did a gun conversation turn to birth certificates and a 10 commandments conversation anyway?  (May 6, 2013 | post #5428)

After reading that story I see a couple of things some of you might not see because I have one of these rifles. First the rifle has a key lock on the bottom of the receiver to lick the bolt in position. Second the rifle is s manual single shot bolt action for those who don't know a normal bolt action when you cycle a round into the chamber the bolt is set and ready to fire on the cricket when you cycle it the firing pin does not engage until you manually pull the spring with a plunger on the back if the bolt. Now the part that I am confused by is why would the gun be stored in the corner along side another gun even though it was a BB gun? I have bought a few youth model guns to teach my kids to shoot however I have also included safety into it primarily the two facts that guns are not toys and two when we are not at the range they are locked in the gun safe. I don't see how the manufacture is liable when obvious safety factors were ignored.  (May 2, 2013 | post #5386)

Sure there are good honest men in this this town we are just to busy working or taking care of our children to hang out in the bars everynight. Also it is not just the men around here who lie and cheat you need to look at the women too.  (May 1, 2013 | post #68)

what's up with downtown fort scott

Besides being run down and outdated the biggest contributor to the down turn of downtown is at the south end if town. The mom and pop shops cannot compete with Wally world. Plus you add in the lack of good paying jobs and its the perfect recipe to kill of any downtown area. A lot of people travel to KC Joplin or Pittsburg to work and while they are there they do most of their shopping. It will take a lot more than just cleaning up fort scott to turn this town around. There needs to be a economic overhaul combined with an appearance change and not just a little paint it needs to include a a sense if community pride.  (Apr 30, 2013 | post #9)

I'm beginning to think you don't know as much as you think you do and you really need to stay on one side if the fence. For starters in this post you mention hollow point bullets, did you know hollow point or soft point bullets are required to hunt legally? Full metal jacket bullets are illegal for hunting purposes. As for the fence thing in one post you say no one is trying to take your guns , but in the next you say no one should own a gun. Which is it? For or against?  (Apr 26, 2013 | post #5369)

We will last as long as the constitution last. Gun grabbers on the other hand will just whine some more the next time it gets voted down.  (Apr 25, 2013 | post #5359)
