Doctor's license suspended amid prescription drug allegat...

As being the number one cause of death in the US [medical doctors] when one has his privileges reduces people run to his aid. There where 3,000 people died in New York and we destroyed one country and used this to destroy many more. The medical system is self policed, self regulated, a monopoly, and donates more money than any other to the political system. When the medical system kills injures and infects 15 million per year they get a pass or maybe we will have a march to raise money for them. Your doctor might be the nicest person around but he works for the worst killers ever known.  (Jul 11, 2014 | post #116)

Haitian Man Slaughtered "Live" In The Dominican Republic

I wish the government would live up to their promises and deport the Haitians from this area as they out number the locals and it is getting dangerous. The amount of thief have steadily increased as the population of Haitians increased.  (Dec 22, 2013 | post #5)

Polito showing off his colors

There is an election sign of Polito in Escalerata near Luperon showing the All Seeing Eye in the middle this is the same as on the back of the US dollar and most people have no idea what it means it is the sign of a secret organisation that President Kennedy warned the people about just before he was killed and not by the people who got blamed. .com/watch?v=xhZk8 ronces .com/watch?v=UFpPj jKdUds It is also the insignia of the new world order and if you don’t know what that is search it out. If it doesn’t scare you it should  (May 7, 2012 | post #1)

Investment in Real Estate in the Dominican Republic

harleyhoney Your pension would be great in the countryside as it is about 3 times larger than mine. That is a photo of the house I built. We are putting in a pool right now. I think there is good opportunity for business here. The only problem is that you will have officials that will tell you it can’t be done but with money to the right people anything is possible. I live near Luperon on the north coast and next time your coming this way stop by.  (Jun 6, 2007 | post #13)

Investment in Real Estate in the Dominican Republic

Sosua and Cabarete are nice if you have the money and want to be with other expatriates. If you want to enjoy the country and the people. Look to the areas that are not tourist traps. I bought land in the countryside and built my house. Doing it on a small pension and living on the pension at the same time.  (Jun 4, 2007 | post #10)

Dominican president wants a 'little New York' with subway...

I’m a Canadian living in the DR and very depressed at the money taken from Health, schools, and utilities and used for a metro that didn’t have a for safety or feasibility study done. He wants to be known as the president who built the metro even if he bankrupts the country.  (May 24, 2007 | post #2)

US$300 million in three hours

http://www.dominic US$300 million in just four hours Cap Cana.- Within four hours of being launched in the presence of multi-millionaire Donald Trump, Cap Cana and The Trump Organization achieved record sales of lots at Farallón Trump at Cap Cana to the value of some US$300 million. Presenting the project, Trump said he was going to continue investing in the Dominican Republic because the conditions for doing so are a given, and because the government provides confidence for him to proceed with his real estate plans. Cap Cana consortium president Ricardo Hazoury said that the sales figure, which was achieved in just four hours and less than a day is the highest for a tourist housing project in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. The number of plots sold was 64 out of 68, with prices starting from US$3 million, in the first phase of the product launched by the company formed between Cap Cana and The Trump Organization. The investors in the project, called Farallón Trump at Cap Cana – 35% were from the Dominican Republic, about 30% from the United States and Puerto Rico and 30% from Venezuela, Spain and several Latin American countries. “We are truly surprised at the speed at which these sales were achieved. Never has US$300 million been sold in such a short time in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean”, stated Trump. He stressed that his friend Ricardo Hazoury, with whom he does business in this country, is in the Dominican Republic, and promised he would be inviting former U.S. president Bill Clinton, who is reported to have bought a property in the neighboring Punta Cana Resort, to invest in this project as well.  (May 21, 2007 | post #1)

Investment in Real Estate in the Dominican Republic

I’m a Canadian that made the choice to head for warm weather and I don’t regret it. The DR is warm, friendly and cheap. It is a perfect retirement area where you pension will afford you a life that you only dreamed of. My pension in Canada is not enough to live on I would need a part time job but here I live like a king  (May 21, 2007 | post #7)

Untapped paradise

I went on a dive trip some 24 years ago to Provo in the Turks and Cacaos. The girl that booked the trip for us said why do you want to go there. There is nothing going on there it’s very quiet. I could have bought half the beachfront property for next to nothing. In hind site I wished I did, now it’s a string of high-class hotels and the price for land is crazy. It’s manly a dry rock with little vegetation. Right now I think the Dominican Republic is going through the same transition. The price of land is starting to rise and there is lots of work being done on new investment for tourist projects and sub divisions. The DR has everything as far as land, mountains, rivers, good farm land and beautiful beaches  (Apr 18, 2007 | post #1)

Investment in Real Estate in the Dominican Republic

Most of the hotels are all inclusive and they advise the cliental not to stray from the hotel. They have their own tour groups, which are pricey. It is a shame that the tourist industry is so one sided. The countryside of Dominican Republic is beautiful, safe and the people are very friendly. If the people visiting the DR got away from the tourist traps the real estate business would boom  (Apr 18, 2007 | post #4)

why am i living in the dr

I retired from Canada and settled in the DR some 6years ago and I love it. I live on a pension so small that I would have to find a job in Canada to survive. Here I can live a very good life. I live in the countryside where it is quiet and safe and like everyone says the people are great. Poor infrastructure here only makes you self reliant.  (Apr 16, 2007 | post #27)
