You can find him on facebook. It's a little weird, though. His hometown is listed on facebook as Hendersonville, NC...where you're internet ip address is also listed...  (Oct 5, 2011 | post #3)

I was never angry about the fact that you called me those tarty names...that's why I called you Gramps instead of acting insulted and addressing the non-issue in any of my posts :) I don't let anonymous chat sites upset me.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #71)

Worst idea...ever. We threaten nuclear anything to North Korea and China and Russia would be on us before we could enjoy the fireworks. Plus, the fact that we signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (which promises peaceful use of nuclear technology) would put us in the position of looking like the world's biggest hypocrites.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #70)

Ha...turnabout is fair play. I don't usually allow people that I don't know to call me sweetheart or honey.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #66)

S.C. Gov admits to Affair after going AWOL to Argentina

The GOP itself does stand for those things. It's the people within (some of them, anyway) who don't.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #2)

Unfortunately we're so bogged down in the MEST it's doubtful that we could mount any kind of significant anything anywhere in the world.  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #61)

North Korea Warns Nuclear War

100 years ago the world did not know the technology that it knows today. It's impossible (or at least a flawed argument) to try and compare the two. Look at the USA in 1909. Were we nearly as wealthy and advanced as we are today? You mistake me on my support for Palestinians. I support both groups and a 2 state solution, just like the US government does. I'm just looking at the problem from both sides. I can understand the issues that the Palestinians face and I sympathize with them, but I certainly don't support the destruction of Israel. I support more moderation between the two and equal footing for them each. (not the Hamas-run Palestine, but one of the people)  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #54)

You're referring to a very small portion of Muslims who are fundamental extremists. Around 1%. The vast majority of Muslims (who live in SE Asia, and not the MEST) abhore the killing of civilians. Islam itself means submission to the will of God. Allah, believe it or not, is the same God as Judaism and Christianity. In fact, there are Arabic speaking Jews and Christians who call God Allah because it's simply the Arabic word for God. Using such a tiny percentage of a religion (the wackos) to represent the entire faith is a fallacy. It would be like using pedophilic David Koresh and the Christian crusaders who chose to rape and pillage as the speakers for Christianity. Are there bad guys in the MEST? Certainly. Are there equally bad guys in the USA? I'd say that Timothy McVey counts as one of those to me. I love my country, but I would rather see us take a stance of diplomacy and peace in the world than one of violence and hate. How can we teach our own children and grandchildren to love (as the Christian Bible tells us to do) if we don't embrace that same philosophy?  (Jun 24, 2009 | post #53)

I wasn't suggesting that they close the gap. I was pointing out that Israel is well-known for its "responses " to Palestinian violence. As far as your discussion of the Ottomans in Israel, I'm not sure where you get the information that it was a barren, uninhabited desert. (By the way, much of Israel today is desert...check out a map of Southern Israel) Jerusalem prospered incredibly under the Ottomans. In fact, it was the Muslims, not the Christians, during the Crusades who allowed people of all faiths to practice their religion in Jerusalem. Jews were invited INTO the Ottoman Empire (ruled by Muslims) when they were being persecuted by pogroms in many areas of Europe. As far as the Palestinians being kicked out of Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt...that's not really accurate. Palestinian is simply a name for the people who lived in the area of Palestine. There are Christian Palestinians as well as Muslims. Are there a certain number of Palestinians today who trace heritage to Jordan and Syria? Yes, but a good number also trace origins to the Bedouin tribes who have lived in the desert regions for thousands of years.  (Jun 23, 2009 | post #46)

Still, you are advocating the same destruction that a man you claim to detest is advocating. Sounds very conservative of you. I'm not sure what self-esteem issues make you get so angry about a post on a website like Topix, but I certainly hope that you're taking your blood pressure meds. I can almost hear your computer key board (especially the shift key) begging for you to calm down. I take very little that you say seriously since you've shown a penchant for violence against those with whom you disagree. In the end though, the good thing about your anonymous computer and the fact that you live in the USA is that you have the freedom to berate others as much as you choose...and so do I.  (Jun 23, 2009 | post #45)
