Scallys automotive in Dunnellon

It is sad what happened to your mother, but the cost of repairs is skyrocketing with the state of the economy and I do hope that you get the matter resolved. Question: Why are you going to include the BBB, the State Attorney, and the AARP for a $600 dollar repair on your mothers car? Do you think that they have more important matters to pertain to? Also what does the owners being overweight have anything to do with it? It seems like your attacking the men themselves, not their work ethics. Attempt to reason with the business men because I'm sure they don't want to lose a valuable customer such as yourselves with a car that is only worth 2 years old! That's pretty much a lifetime customer in the mechanic world! haha. Best of Luck  (Nov 23, 2009 | post #3)

Marion County's school district puts 522 teachers on notice

Let me guess, your a grumpy old curmudgeon from up North who only comes down here to make a hassle of hard working people just so you can have low taxes and a nice freaking golf course to play on. It is sad that you would want 522 people to lose their jobs so you have lower property taxes. Oh by the way, did you think of unemployment not being taxed? Question: would you pay property taxes towards children earning a brighter future to pay for your Social Security or would you pay taxes towards people who are not earning a penny and not putting money towards YOUR social security needs? p.s. Eustis is not even in the Marion County school system so this cut wouldn't have an effect on YOUR property taxes.  (Nov 23, 2009 | post #4)

Ku Klux Klan is still alive and well in Florida

Wait till we see what happens in the long run as well. Before, our nation was based on the American spirit of Freedom and Prosperity. Now it's "let's run to the government for help, not think or do anything for ourselves". There is an old saying "if you ask the government for something, expect the government to ask for something back" (sometimes it could be a freedom).  (Nov 22, 2009 | post #36)
