Is beating a 7yr old "abuse? (dressup reason)

Oh what the hell, no one replied. Therefore it was fair discipline. That's all I wanted to know.  (Apr 27, 2009 | post #2)

Proof of Jesus' Black Heritage Comes From Surprising Sour...

Yes, I totally agree with you. I was for years involved with fundamentalists (Pentecostals) that claimed that the more that they spread the gospel to all the earth and as quickly as possible, the sooner the end will come! That Christians has in fact the power to speed up the end. Seriously.  (Apr 27, 2009 | post #359)

Are you really going to believe this from a denomination that has sacred underwear? No folks, I kid you not. Sacred underwear: http://en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Temple_ garment_(Mormonism )  (Apr 27, 2009 | post #352)

Public Flogging of Woman by Taliban Raises Outrage

War mongering? I'm sure you've heard the philosophy, "If you want peace, prepare for war". If I'm a "war mongerer" then I'm a proud one buddy! And let me tell you who the real "dumbass " is. Can you guess it? It's you!!! Because there is no inherent shame in war. The only shame is what you are fighting for. If I war monger, I do so for right reasons. Ironically, to protect the freedoms of liberal idiots such as yourself. Ain't that gratitude?  (Apr 19, 2009 | post #359)

Public Flogging of Woman by Taliban Raises Outrage

Well said. The fact is that most people responding to this incident are hypocrites! Boo hoo, they don't support America in Iraq or Afghanistan, but they're "outraged " at things like this. Most people don't support U.S. interventionist policies but they're "outraged " at events like this, whether it's Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia etc. Hypocrites!! What are you liberals complaining about? You cry "America out of everywhere" then cry "foul" when foreign governements exercise their autonomy. You hypocrites can't have it both ways, you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't be "outraged " by such things as public floggings (and really, you only care when women are flogged-let's be honest) and then say for America to stay out of the affairs of other nations. I say let America go anywhere it wants and take over anyone it wants. I prefer American capitalism, as crass and imperfect as it is, to militant Islam anyday.  (Apr 13, 2009 | post #351)

Is beating a 7yr old "abuse? (dressup reason)

Well, as I said in another thread here, I hate life, I hate myself, I hate the world. And I don't care if I live or die. I have a head full of bad memories of bad situations, bad people, unhappiness and anger. But I was wondering. If beating a 7yr old boy because he wore a pair of tights for a day is justified? It happened when I was staying one weekend staying with my aunty and cousin (girl). They both played dress up with me once. We went out to a concert later that evening, and my cousin suggested to keep the tights on as it was cold. Eventually, all this filtered down to one particular bf in the family, and I was beaten for it. And told to "never ever" do that again. And decades later, I wonder was that abuse or just plain old corrective discipline?  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #1)

What are your favourite single malts?

Hi everyone. I've only just started getting into single malt whiskies myself. I've had the Cragganmore 12yrs, Talisker 12yrs, Glen Moray classic (as an inexpensive single malt for a birthday gift for my dad-to supplement a good cognac I bought him also) and the Macallan 10yrs fine oak. The Cragganmore 12yrs was my first whisky. I enjoyed it and I'll buy it again. Next was the Talisker 12yrs. It was the first time I had tried a peat/smoke whisky. Initially, I was unsure of it, and by about halfway through the bottle, I absolutely loved it! The Glen Moray I would describe as "okay" only. Nothing great, rather bland and boring. But a smooth whisky that doesn't give you alcohol burn like cheaper blends. I made an error with the Macallan 10yrs. I meant to get the Macallan 12yrs, but accidentally go the Macallan 10yrs "Fine Oak". I don't think it's possible anymore to get the original 12yrs as Macallan has updated their product range to the "Fine Oak" series. And from what I have read, the new "Fine Oak" range is not as good as the recently defunct range. This is because the new range is matured in both bourbon and sherry casks, whilst the old range was matured exclusively in sherry casks only. I would describe the Macallan 10yrs Fine Oak as "okay" again. Nice enough, but I won't be buying it or the 12yrs either, unless I can find the original Macallan 12yrs. As I said, I liked the Cragganmore 12yrs, and loved the Talisker `12yrs. I have recently bought Highland Park 12yrs, Glenfiddich 15yrs Solera Reserve and Lagavulin 16yrs. I plan to also buy the Balvenie Double Wood, Aberlour A'Bunadh (which I will crack open to celebrate my wedding anniversary) and Glenmorangie Nectar D'or. If I contine to like the stronger peat/smoke whiskies, I will buy Ardbeg 10yrs, Laphroaig Quarter Cask or 15yrs and Bowmore 18yrs. I would also like to buy Glenfiddich 18yrs Ancient Reserve and some others, like Oban 14yrs, Knockando etc. So, what are your favourite single malt whiskies?  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #1)

Philosophical One-Liners?

Hahahaha.....LMAO! !!! Ooh, I just thought of one along your lines: "Blind people never skydive-for when they feel the ground with their canes, it's too late to open the parachute!"  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #1548)

Give Me ONE Good Reason To Put Up With It For One More Day!

I can't really offer any helpful advice as I'm in the same situation as yourself. I hate life, I hate this world and I hate the day I was born. At least know that others are also in the same situation, so you're not alone.  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #2)

Whats ur favorite metal band?

Well there's a tragically appropriate name. News flash for you 16 yr old girl: Just because you're a musician of a band that you form, doesn't mean that you have to use part of your name in the band!!!!! You know what I mean. Led Zeppelin weren't called "Led Page" just because Jimmy Page was a founding member. Deep Purple weren't called "Deep Blackmore" just because Ritchie Blackmore was a founding member. You keep going on about your band being called by that horrible name because part of the name is that of the lead singer. What has that got to do with anything? I don't mean to dump on something you like. But to compare Cradle of Filth with Sabbath is just ridiculous. It would be just as ridiculous for me if I was to try and compare album sales and live performance attendances of Sabbath to Zeppelin. As Zeppelin were still much bigger than Sabbath. The simple fact is that out of all the metal/hard rock bands, some are legendary. Like Sabbath, Purple, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Others aren't. They may have had a share of success, but are not legendary bands. Eg, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot and others. And when I mean "legendary " I just don't mean album and live venue ticket sales. That doesn't make a band legendary. I mean musicial contributions. Music that changed and influenced their surrounding medium. New sounds and styles that were developed. Songs that live on even today decades after the band was formed.  (Mar 18, 2009 | post #193)

Dudes! How many of you have worn tights?

Well, as Ned Flanders from "The Simpsons" would say: "Okaley dokaley".  (Mar 18, 2009 | post #41)
