What Divides Catholics and Protestants?
Hey guys, Is there anything new under the sun? Peace (Jun 24, 2008 | post #10017)
Concerned, Each person, in the end, must decide for themselves …“What is the Truth”. The litmus test for this is not … how many people do I get to change their minds about what ‘they’ believe. Rhetoric’s and Sophistry often play too big a part in these forums. It becomes a game. IMO, those on defense are far closer to truly believing their version of the truth than those on offence. Defending ones faith is rooted in a secure belief, it has the power to effect true evangelization. It is the model for Apologetics ... Attacking others faith is a characteristic of those vacillating in their own beliefs. They seem to believe that if they can convince someone else to agree with their opinion, it somehow validates their own position. Concerned, winning arguments here is not in the least related to anything Jesus preached or asked of Christians. Gird your loins, either live your faith and be at peace with your beliefs .... or make the needed adjustments. I think you are a good person. Get on with life!! Peace (Jan 9, 2008 | post #1998)

This thread is entitled “This Forum is Anti-Catholic”. It was started back in October 2007 by a person who noticed that Catholicism is being attacked here. These attackers are not Catholic, yet they choose to live a large portion of their lives (from months up to 2 years) on the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH FORUM in order to prove the very point of this thread ... Ironic!! I would like to point out that Catholics are not entering Protestant Forums, starting treads, and attacking them. We are secure in our faith. We have Muslims and a host on Evangelical/Fundam entalists that have started and have entered threads on the Roman Catholic Church Forums for attack purposes. NOT cross-over threads, I’m talking about threads that were initiated on the RCC forum. This is important because cross-over threads hit various forums, but you must ENTER the RCC Forum to access or initiate threads here. I understand that it is perfectly legal .. and is your right to enter here. I just want to make it perfectly clear that you are making a conscious effort to enter the Roman Catholic Church Forum …. and attack our faith! For many I suspect this URL is in your Internet Favorites … how Ironic! Now, we must pose a question: Why would someone willingly enter another faiths specific Forum and go on the attack? 1. Enjoy Rhetoric’s / Sophistry. 2. Think they are doing “God’s/Allah’s will” by attacking our faith 3. Guilt from leaving the Catholic Church .. looking for support from other defectors 4. Have been abused and are venting their frustration (I am truly sorry for these) 5. Are searching for the truth and pose questions they need to be convinced about. 6. Irreconcilable marital/family issues (mixed marriages/families , etc) Other? I encourage any non-Catholics that are camped out on this particular thread to explain why you insist upon attacking our faith. If you are Christian, please explain to us how you are expressing your faith in Jesus Christ by initiating attacks on our Church’s Doctrines and Dogma’s … day after day for months/years! Are you seriously expecting to hear the Lord say: … ‘Well done, good and faithful servant ...enter into the joy of your master.’ ? Peace (Jan 8, 2008 | post #1862)
Catholic Church Waging War on Women and Gays
It is impossible to use words to adequately describe how God impacts my life. For me it is the innate knowledge that "God Is'. God speaks to me through creation. I live in the woods of eastern Kentucky. In the silence of this paradigm God reveals the majesty of creation ... I could not deny this reality if I tried. June, you have your white buffalo and electric vibrations ... someday you will realize this is merely God speaking to your soul. I suspect your dad already lives in this light! It doesn't have to. That would be a 'choice', but not a syllogistical conclusion! Peace (Jan 6, 2008 | post #9533)
The bible told you that the RCC would split from the Eastern Church in the 11th century?? This explains a lot! Peace (Jan 6, 2008 | post #1751)
