I personally could care less about the extra $10 charge if we go over. Although it IS bull. You still come out ahead of the idiots you see in Walmart actually paying for dvds, software, music, etc. LOL I laugh every time I see someone actually paying for things you can get for free! Let's weigh your options BAT! In the red corner we have 50 gigs of data for $10! (crowd roar) In the blue corner we have Shaniqua handing over $12 for this new release DVD and $49.99 for the new Step and Strut Trail Ride GPS software! (BOOOOOOOOO) I love clueless people!  (Apr 1, 2011 | post #8)

So it is our fault that 98% of people in the area don't know how to take full advantage of their internet? What kind of crap is that? It is kinda cool to be a 2%er though. LOL  (Apr 1, 2011 | post #7)

help me cp.!!!

What is it that you are trying to do? Just connect the xbox to xbox live or stream media files from your computers to your xbox? Your xbox should just plug into ethernet and be able to connect. Or you getting the test connection error box when you try to sign on?  (Feb 20, 2011 | post #2)

Great CP, Where You Be ?

Bat, whats up man? Sorry for the long delay. I haven't been on topix in a while. Just work, spend time with the significant other, and play Xbox when I get home. I must say it looks like you have been enjoying yourself! To answer a few questions, your Xbox hard drive will allow you to copy games onto it solely for loading speed purposes. You can also save PURCHASED games from Xbox live on it to play. You can't rent a game and store it on the drive and play it later unless the disc is still inserted. There are ways to mod an xbox to play downloaded files you find on torrent sites but that you will have to do some reading on. Way to much info to explain here. As for the external hard drive you have, you can't use it as a xbox replacement drive. You can, however, connect it to your xbox's usb port to play your divx movies and music if you like. As for xbox live, go ahead and purchase the gold and if possible for an entire year. It is a lot cheaper that way. I think you will enjoy it. With gold you can stream netflix, play your games online, and even get ESPN3 if you are into sports. That is one of my favorites they added because you get to watch a lot of college football games and other sports that you can't receive even with sat or cable. Let me know of any other questions and I'll try to answer when I get a chance. Keep plundering... CP4  (Feb 14, 2011 | post #4)

Bat..sorry for the delay in response. Kind of in a hurry so I'll answer your console question and try to come back when i get a chance. For me it is no comparison. First of all, in my opinion, throw PS3 out of the window. There are no games. Wii is ok if you have really young children. Nintendo is still primarily about that market. It was cool when it came out because of the motion controls, but with Xbox 360's Kinect addition why even bother when you can use your hands? You cant help but think Microsoft will start pushing more games for this after the new year. XBOX 360 all the way. They have the most and best games, especially when it comes to exclusives to the platform. XBOX live is awesome. One addition that I like is XBOX live's recent deal with ESPN where it has added ESPN3 for free with an account. You can watch any college football game you want live. Thousands of sporting events that are not offered over satellite or cable in our area.  (Dec 22, 2010 | post #13)

Seeking "The Masters" Wisdom

Oh, I almost forgot, as an example of the difference in speed. You said that with lite you couldn't dl over 100? I downloaded a torrent the other day with extreme. Can't remember what it was but it was something pretty popular that had a lot of seeds. Thing tapped out at over 700 kb/sec and was rolling along constantly in the 600's. If you could only get seeders like that for every movie! That is some serious downloading my friend! I would seriously look into upgrading to the highest package "Extreme 6.0" if you can. It would be an extra $20 bucks or so a month but well worth about 7X the speed.  (Dec 18, 2010 | post #7)

Bat, good to see that you are still sailing your ship around and plundering. You can download Winrar from its official site. It will eventually ask you to register but all you have to do is x out of the request and you can still use the program. Don't ask me why they did it that way. I used DSL lite for a while and it just wasn't fast enough. To be completely honest, when it comes to the prices for the different packages for DSL, for what you are paying for the lite you may as well upgrade to the extreme. It is not that much difference in cost and the speed just doesn't compare. Had you ever gotten your NBOX in? I remember you saying that you had decided to grab one off the net.  (Dec 18, 2010 | post #6)

School Bus hit by 18-wheeler

I don't care if it would take 5 miles to stop. If you are paying attention to the road and looking directly in front of you then you see a yellow school bus. If you aren't playing with your tally whacker, texting, or poking at the radio then you realize a few things! Woah! There is a big yellow bus in front of me! It appears to be stopped on the road to pick up kids! Here is the clincher. You ready? This bus, traveling in the right lane, had time to slow and come to a complete stop. Small children had time to walk from where they were standing and board the bus. The driver had time to begin moving forward. Now you tell me how much time it would take for those events to happen. I guarantee you in all that time if you are staring at the road in front of you there is no excuse to slam into the back of it. It is not like the bus slammed on the brakes in front of him and he did not have time to stop! Use your brain woman! There wasn't even an attempted lane change! That means he was distracted, looked up, and *brake slam*. It does not take a genius to figure it out and I will not continue to argue with you about it. I have spoken and when I say something around here you can take it to the bank, roll it up and smoke it, or shove it up your hole and enjoy it. I don't care. Embarrass me? LOL It is good to know that you are a fan though. Would you like a t-shirt? I could make one that says "I "heart" CP4 and mail it to you :)  (Dec 5, 2010 | post #19)

School Bus hit by 18-wheeler

Bull f&*(in sh*&! You mean to tell me that if you are driving down a straight road you can't see a school bus coming up in front of you? I agree with the other things you had to say about it not being safe to stop on a main road such as a highway or interstate. That is very true. However, I don't give a flying f&*( what this guy has to say or ever has to say. He isn't going to sit here and tell me he was paying attention to the road like he was supposed to be doing and a f&*(ing school bus appeared from nowhere. BULLS&*T!! He didn't see in time? Of course he didn't! Wanna know why? Because he was either playing on his phone, playing with his radio, or doing something else he shouldn't have been doing while driving! You can see a bus on that road from the carwash! Don't sugarcoat it! People screw up sometimes and things happen. I'm not saying the guy should fry for it, but he isn't gonna say he was staring straight ahead at the road with complete attention on his driving! Now put that in ya pipe and smoke it!  (Dec 4, 2010 | post #14)
