U.S. incompetent to comment on human rights: Iran

You have obviously not read the Koran. Islam is not the religion of hate. One of the commandments of Islam is "You shall not kill/murder". And by the way. Jesus was arab, so even if you think christianity is the best route, he was still middle eastern. This is from the Koran "And whatever suffering you suffer, it is what your hands have wrought. (42:30)" Just because there is a group of Islamic extremists that do not like Americans or Christians, does not make every Muslim evil. That is like saying because of the KKK every white person is the devil. Remember, we don't have a good record either. P.S. the only kind of warfare permitted by Islam is in defense of their own nation. Islamic extremists seem to believe that they are going into battle in the name of Allah. I can't be certain, because I have not read the entire Koran, but it seems that because of Americans racism and prejudice towards them, their mission is justified even more (in their eyes). If we cease or instant racism towards them, they would have no reason to attack us. And by the way, "Allah" only means "God" or "God willing".  (May 19, 2011 | post #59)

The killing of bin Laden: Was it legal?

How is what George Bush did and Osama Bin Laden not similar? In fact, it is EXACTLY the same. They both killed innocent people. The Americans in the World Trade Centers were innocent Americans, and of course Osama Bin Laden should have been prosecuted for his crimes. I am not sympathizing with him at all. He was an international criminal no doubt about that. But the civilians of Iraq are NOT the target, and not the problem. Islamic extremists are the people who attacked the World Trade Centers. It is no different than the KKK. Just because George Bush was in a position of political power and claimed to have killed almost 100,000 civilians in the name of American freedom and security does not make it legal or ethical, when those murdered were not a threat to either one. P.S. I am NOT muslim, I am caucasian and was raised in a catholic family.  (May 18, 2011 | post #413)

If AMERICAN TROOPS killed Iraqi civilians under the command of George W. Bush, how is that not the doing of the United States?  (May 18, 2011 | post #412)

It is not his fault that the government is acting irresponsibly in his name.  (May 18, 2011 | post #411)

The killing of bin Laden: Was it legal?

HERRROOOOOOOO. First of all, I'm white. Second I am an American. And third, Bin Laden WAS a terrorist and an international criminal. I never said he wasn't. I am just trying to get you to understand that Bush is also a criminal. He did THE SAME THING that Bin Laden did. THE SAME THING. The only difference is that he was the leader of a country. I never condoned the war and still don't. He killed 99,004 Iraqi civilians and is in direct violation of the UN Charter, because invading 2 countries and murdering civilians when the real threat is not their government, is a crime.  (May 16, 2011 | post #307)

First of all, I am not even old enough to vote. So I had no bearing on his election, but I can assure you I would not have voted for him, and I damn well know my parents didn't vote for him.  (May 16, 2011 | post #306)

Because under HIS command, a minimum of 99,004 Iraqi CIVILIANS were massacred. If that is not the M.O. of an international criminal, I don't know what is.`  (May 16, 2011 | post #305)

And how is that, considering the UN Charter was signed in San Fransisco and the United States was one of the original signatories AND they have a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. No country on this planet is more bound by the laws of the UN than us.  (May 15, 2011 | post #280)

I didn't say that I was. I was simply saying that if you are going to call him an international criminal, it only seems fitting that you call people like George Bush a criminal too.  (May 15, 2011 | post #279)

Can you actually say with absolute certainty that he was a porn "addict" ? And better yet, if Mr. Bin Laden was an international criminal, how is George W. Bush not? Did he not do what Osama Bin Laden had done, but on a much larger scale? He terrorized multiple nations, and has killed a minimum of 99,004 civilians. He is the Commander-in-Chief of the US Military. Therefore he takes responsibility for every casualty. He is the only person in the United States with the power to wage war, and he directly violated the UN Charter that clearly states any country part of the UN can ONLY use their military resources in a defensive manor.  (May 15, 2011 | post #276)

Actually they would lose nothing by doing that. The United States has not signed onto the Rome Statute and is not part of the International Criminal Court. They pay no money to the ICC and they have no bearing over US military forces.  (May 15, 2011 | post #267)
