No Holloween Party

This is crap!!! I went to the Halloween party here when I was a kid! My son decided this year to come to the town's party instead of trick-or-treating. He was and still is really looking forward to going and seeing his friends there. Now I'll have to tell him the bad news tomorrow. What difference does it make whether I'm a Christian or not? That is totally irrelevant. Besides, I think I was pretty tasteful in my choice of words, unlike some others on here. Yes, I know that what went on in the marriage is between him and his ex-wife. That's why the only thing I said was that she didn't deserve the way she was treated. That's it. I'm not airing out everyone's dirty laundry on here like most people. And no, I don't have a personal vendetta against Cletus. I feel a little offened by that remark. But, oh well. You can put what you want and think what you want on here. I was just stating how I feel about him parading around and trying to fool people into thinking his was an "up-standing " pastor. Good God! All this crap over one man! I'm not saying I support Cletus in any way. It's just that he's not worth all this attention. Topix is here to let people voice their opinions whether it be good or bad. Deal with it! Remember that the internet is free game and yes, people do have freedom of speech. No one should be scared to post anything on here. This isn't going to ruin anyone's reputation. It's pretty clear that the ones in the main subject of this conversation have already done that for themselves. Anyways, here's my thoughts on the matter...you can take it or leave it! I don't support Cletus. He's been in a downward spiral for a while! He hasn't had a very good track record with his actions in quite some time now. I can't believe that so many people, including me and my family, were deceived into thinking that he was an honest man of God. I feel so much sympathy for the church and it's members that he was supposedly a "pastor" to. Some of them are my family and some my dear friends. I hope the dishonesty of it all weighs heavy on his soul every single day of his life! False prophets are dealt with in the after-life...I'm sure he'll get his. It saddens me greatly to know that he stood up and officiated over my uncle's memorial service and my grandmother's funeral and he probably didn't mean a damn word of what he said! I also dispise the way he treated his wife. She's a good and kind person and didn't deserve to be put through the kind of hell that he gave her. I can't say much for his girl-friend or whatever. I don't know the woman so I won't comment. The fact is...You don't give booze to under-age kids! You allow for the opprotunity to molest and have sex with under-age girls! What the hell was he and everyone else that was present thinking? To me, it seems not hard at all to find him guily. Oh, if people have a problem with how the story that was posted in the newspaper, why aren't you going down to the printing office to correct it?! I haven't seen any retractions printed...have you? As far as people having a problem with where a person is from that's posting on here...so what! Just because we're from out of town (or out of state) doesn't mean we can't say what we think or we don't know what we're talking about! I know Cletus. My family knows Cletus. So, I think I should have the right to an opinion like everyone else! There you have it...I've said my part. If it makes you happy, so what. If it makes you mad, so what.  (May 7, 2009 | post #132)
