top 5 short but sweet tenures

Amidst the train wreck of ineptitude that was Aaron Brooks, Nnamdi's first pro bowl year sits fondly in my mind. 7 picks? Our d was very active, small and fast that year. I liked to watch them.  (Jul 7, 2014 | post #4)

Raiders could face Rolando McClain in training camp

I'm sure he will retire or pistol whip somebody soon. He can't go long without doing either of those.  (Jul 7, 2014 | post #4)

The best Philadelphia Eagles team not to win it all

I feel like Foles had a kinda one year wonder thing. I don't think he is a franchise qb. The d should improve and the running game will be good though.  (Jul 7, 2014 | post #2)

5 Things Oakland Raiders Must Accomplish During OTAs

Develop an offensive strategy that doesn't involve QB draw's and Wildcat formations. Continue to develop defensive strategy. We had some good moments last year, but some terrible ones too. Draft good players, consistently.  (Jun 5, 2014 | post #3)

Raiders like Carr

Of all of the qb "busts" of the past decade or so, Carr was the least egregious. He threw for a lot of yards to a young Andre Johnson with no running game or line. In fact, if you go back and compare the first few years of Peyton's career against Carr, the numbers aren't that far off. Injuries, bad drafting, bad coaching, bad GM sunk that franchise until a few years ago. Choosing Carr was probably a 4. Drafting Mario Williams was probably a 1.  (May 12, 2014 | post #4)

Does It Even Matter?

It takes multiple years of 1st round picks starting all the games, working out, being quality players and some solid contributions from UDA and late picks, plus a conducive, well thought out coaching system run by an experienced and rock solid GM to "turn a franchise around". We have none of those things. I don't even believe we are on the way to achieving one of them. I still root for my team, and still love my Raiders. But i don't see anything going well. Too many shenanigans, too many captains not enough admirals.  (Apr 30, 2014 | post #5)

Tim Tebow's Inability to Find Work in the NFL Indicative ...

I may end up being a HOF qb when i know the defensive signals i face each week, have a hall of fame defense of my own, and a great coach... Hmmm... how many superbowls has Brady won without that supporting cast, or after they were caught cheating  (Apr 30, 2014 | post #236)

NFL cheats the cheerleaders

I am struggling to empathize with a job that pays 75 dollars a day, part time, no education required, optional, debasing and fracturing, image based reflection of the spirit of the concept perpetuated 60 years ago of what women were, not are. Plus, its totally optional, don't like it, you can leave. I'm pretty sure if you have "cheerleader " on an honest resume you aren't thinking about life too much anyway.  (Apr 28, 2014 | post #5)

Oakland Raiders: why edge defender is the biggest need

I still believe that if you are picking in the top 10, you don't score enough points. Pick a skill position guy.  (Apr 23, 2014 | post #4)

Can we all at least agree on this?

I get the point of the article, i just am not crazy about the selection of players this year.  (Apr 15, 2014 | post #6)

And they were all on teams where they didn't have to do it alone. Which is why in my opinion, guys like Dan Marino and Peyton are better than the guys with 3 or more rings  (Apr 10, 2014 | post #211)

Derek Hagan wants to play one more year

Lol. Now here are the bad's. He is 5 Foot 11 and 190 pounds(maybe). He was fast for college, slow as heck for the nfl for a running qb. His arm strength can be summed up as "pedestrian ". His intellect would be "underwhelmin g". His knowledge of his college playbook was "woefully unprepared". His execution as "sloppy and undisciplined ". Danny Woodhead would have been a hall of fame running back had he played in the 1950's before they allowed black people in the game. Manziel is correctly compared to the ol bomber and runner Tarkenton. But, he won't be playing in the 60's where the most complex offensive philosophy involves 4 verts with a flexed tight end. Career backup in the NFl. Or, he goes to the Browns or Bills and sets their franchise back a few years and a doc gets made about how successful he would have been if he went to New England instead.  (Apr 8, 2014 | post #3)

raiders pre-draft

I agree about Manziel and Bwater, am "meh" on Watkins and Clowney is just too scary for me. A guy with "motivation " issues? Not me for, no thanks. If we aren't trading back i suppose a WR is the way to go, or offensive line, but im not too keen on Watkins though  (Apr 7, 2014 | post #29)

You are like a rapist Janitor. Pushing yourself on other people, in a place they don't want, giving them what YOU THINK THEY NEED, despite how they hate it. Get out of the forum dude.  (Apr 7, 2014 | post #204)
