Doctor did not deserve jail

'Whatever reason' as you put it, was the following: "According to the criminal complaint, Dobish was Sease's landlord. Sease allegedly paid Dobish cash in exchange for the prescriptions - often referring to the payments as "rent." Sease allegedly used some of the drugs himself while selling the remainder for approximately $25 to $50 per tablet, depending on the strength of the dosage. Corbett said that between June 2009 and January 2010, the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) was billed more than $73,000 for prescriptions that were allegedly written by Dobish and filled by Sease. Agents estimate that the street value of all the medications allegedly prescribed by Dobish totaled approximately $535,000." Food stamp card recovered at casino

Missed that, thanks for pointing it out. You, of course, are thick enough to believe that someone on welfare is going to be stupid enough to write a letter to the editor pointing out she was gambling when she lost her welfare card. Keep your eyes open for next week's "True" story of the woman who is grateful to the strangers who helped change the tire on her Mercedes that went flat on the way to pick up her welfare check. Some fools will believe anything.  (Aug 7, 2010 | post #78)

Dover Area teachers authorize strike

Agreed. That information would have made for a much more informative article. Sometimes I think they just pull stories from Twitter and send them straight to the website.  (Mar 11, 2010 | post #10)

Dokken loses arbitration, vows to continue legal battle

Panama City Topix and Local News

Any idea why none of the local news sources use Topix? It's rather difficult trying to read the small print commentary on the News Herald's page. Just a thought.  (Mar 11, 2010 | post #1)

Proving Nothing

All I did was point out that the phrase "Turn up missing" didn't make sense. Don't really know you or what your issues are, that just leapt out. No offense was intended.  (Mar 11, 2010 | post #21)

How do you 'turn up missing'? If you turn up, you're not missing. Oxymoron.  (Mar 10, 2010 | post #10)

Don't let students go hungry at lunch

Lunch costs X dollars per day. There are Y number of school days this month. You deposit X times Y dollars in your child's account per month. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp?  (Mar 2, 2010 | post #90)
