small dog

Please, please rescue a dog. There are so many unwanted dogs and cats that are being destroyed every day! Found a great animal rescue group--- www.SNAP-2IT.ORG. They rescue so many animals and none are put down. They provide medical care. Please check with them.  (Thursday Dec 3 | post #28)

5 year old let off at wrong bus stop?

Was this child let off at the wrong house? Or was she left at the right house and the grandmother was not there? If she was let off the bus at the right house, don't parents/caregivers have the responsibility to be home on time when they have a child that is being brought home on a school bus? School Board Attorney to make $295,000 + + +

There's definitely a problem with lack of support from many parents. I remember the first day I subbed in a 5th grade class and read a note that was laying on the teacher's desk. She had written a parent about their child's behavior problems. Their reply was "it's your problem when he's at school." Scared me a little since it was my first day of subbing.  (Nov 6, 2009 | post #409)

School Board Attorney to make $295,000 + + +

By the way, my son is also taking all AP classes and has never had anything below an A on his report card. I feel participating in sports has been good for him. As long as he maintain his grades, I feel it's important for him to be involved in the sport he loves.  (Nov 6, 2009 | post #408)

As a parent of an athlete, I know I pay a lot of money for him to participate and there are also a lot of fundraisers. These sports also bring in revenue from ticket purchases. Do you have any info on what funds are provided by the school system for athletics? I'm just curious how much it actually costs. I know way back when I was young, there were no fees involved in participating in sports at my high school. And I do mean WAY back when. LOL  (Nov 6, 2009 | post #407)

Hobby Lobby

I know what you mean. I know we all say this type of thing---becoming like our mothers. But the more I thought about it, the more I wish I could be like my mother. She was a kind and gentle soul. In later years she had Alzheimers--that's what scares me about becoming like her. But before that, she was one special person that I wish I could be like. Hope things are going well for you EHT.  (Oct 24, 2009 | post #11)
