I see....unless I agree with you or have a personal stake in the debate, then I should just not respond. You posted to a shitty public forum, so not sure what you were expecting. I told you where I was coming from. I am acquainted with them, not closely, and have not heard them speak of people that way and asked for more specifics. I explained the "casino" situation and awaited your response. Instead, you provide nothing of value other than an accusation that I'm some sort of spokesperson for the Walkers. How curious that issue is that they talk bad about people behind their back, yet here you are on a public forum doing just that.  (Jan 26, 2013 | post #10)

Nope, not "one of them". I'm acquainted with them, and haven't heard them speak ill of anyone that I can recall. Sounds like you have had a different experience. I just simply don't put much stock in postings that cast aspersions without offering any specifics.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #8)

Racism

Who cares when the word came into being? Racism is the belief that the characteristics of one's race make it superior to another. Whether you subscribe to that belief or not, it can't be argued that there are folks that do. It's up to you to attach your level of acceptance to that belief. If you were able to read with any context, the OP didn't get on a soapbox about race. She stated that they had a multiracial daughter, and asked about how that is received in this area. Simple question. Your nonsense about an "invasion " of sorts is absurd, as is the bolstering of your belief by using a quote from one if the biggest buffoons in Congress.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #15)

Sounds like you have an axe to grind. Nothing illegal about the machines. No tax fraud, either. It is up to the user to fess up to Uncle Sam about any "winnings ". As far as their family, what exactly was said about you that pusses you off?  (Jan 24, 2013 | post #6)

Racism

You will enjoy it here. Overall good people, and the recent population boom (last 20 years or so) means there are a lot of folks like yourself that have moved from all different areas. Not the most racially diverse area, percentage-wise, but doesn't carry the entrenched bigotry that sometimes might be expected from a predominantly white city. More so than other places I've lived, folks around here are mostly concerned with doing their thing and letting others do theirs. Very conservative, but with enough fringe liberalism to provide a healthy balance.  (Jan 24, 2013 | post #11)

Gun Laws - Ozark, MO

And for every Japan I can show you 10 Chicagos and Australias that have extremely strict gun laws, yet have exponentially higher levels of gun violence.  (Jan 7, 2013 | post #22)

Gun Laws - Ozark, MO

Yes, I'm close-minded. When people start injecting automatic weapons into the discussion, even though nobody has used one in a mass killing in any recent memory, that is called "hype". When folks like yourself throw around the term "assault rifle" while refusing to discuss what that term even means, that is an attempt to induce "fear". I know it probably makes life simpler to think it, but these guns aren't "falling into the wrong hands". Criminals buy them on the black market. They steal them from law abiding citizens. They don't get them through any means that another law will prevent. The Sandy Hook scumbag killed his mother. Illegal. He stole her guns. Illegal. He of unsound mind concealed them in his car. Illegal. He transported them to the school. Illegal. He entered the school. Illegal. He shot 26 people. Very illegal. If we could only pass a law that would make another element to his actions illegal, then just maybe we could prevent this. Sound about right?  (Dec 31, 2012 | post #14)

Nonsense. No automatic weapon has been used in a mass incident in this country that I can remember, yet you lump it into the argument because it adds a little more fear factor to your point. As for assault weapons, you have bought into the hype. An assault weapon, as defined by the government, has almost nothing to do with the way the gun operates. It has everything to do with appearance. It looks "military ", so it must be more dangerous. The dreaded AR-15 that is often the example of an "assault rifle" fires a round considerably smaller and less lethal than common deer rifle rounds, and does so at a rate of fire similar to the numerous other semi-auto hinting rifles down at bass pro.  (Dec 31, 2012 | post #11)

facts and news Obama has 11 guards his kids at school

It's not a loop hole. It's just the law. The ability to keep the mentally deficient away from guns is certainly important, but how do you reckon our useless federal government will oversee such regulation? Who decides what households are unfit for guns? Who decides the level of mental defect? Who do you authorize to do the mandated home inspection? How will the government know they've tracked down the all the nut jobs without requiring that doctors and counselors report all mentally unstable individuals in their care? None of it matters, anyway. To believe that a young man that would kill his mother, 20 little kids, and a few other folks wouldn't get his guns one way or the other is foolish.  (Dec 27, 2012 | post #12)

You are a fool. The guards at that school have nothing to do with the Secret Service protection. They are there (and have been for years) under contract with the school as protection for the students. As far as the kudos to your esteemed leader, assault weapons didn't have jackshit to do with Sandy Hook. Do you even know what an "assault weapon" is, as defined by government? Hint: it's all about appearance, and has nothing to do with the way the weapon operates. You'll vote for gun control "all day"? Go ahead and tell us what laws you would pass that would have prevented these killings.  (Dec 27, 2012 | post #10)

If, by some miracle, you are successful in your quest for a "gud man", please do not let him impregnate you. Your post is all the proof I need that one of you is all this world needs.  (Dec 24, 2012 | post #2)
