Will the Internet Kill Religion?

Religion itself is killing religion.. More people are walking away from organized religious groups these days than in recent history. More people are agnostic or atheists as proof of this. Where is the proof that some guy like Walt disney didn't write the scriptures? Our world is a rough place to survive and only the strong survive. Just having faith in something doesn't pay the bills!  (Jan 30, 2013 | post #155)

What does this have to do with Somerset KY

For those of you not quite familiar with the history of Hell's Angel's... You have no choice if they decide to come to our little town. Not only would they come, but they would do what they would want to do with it and then some. The FBI ran a "sting" operation on them several years ago for over a year down in a little, tiny town outside of Tuscon, AZ., involving murder, money laudrying, rape, home invasions, robbry, etc. and they ALL walked. They are still going strong all around this country... Don't believe me... Google it!  (Jan 28, 2013 | post #13)

Pro Life Crosses At The Bank

The "debate" goes on... and it always will. The LAW says, with exception, a woman has the right of choice. Live with it folks.  (Jan 26, 2013 | post #27)

Liquor Store's

The fact that the "powers that be" in our State capital haven't a clue as to what their doing (in much of anything) and to their denial of a liquor license to a Liquor World or Liquor Barn (or the like) only stiffles (again) the limitations as to what will be available to the citizens of Somerset. These larger retailers not only provide a larger selection of beer, wines and alcohol, but a deli department with cheeses and meats to choose from to fresh baked breads of all assortments and party goods. It also provides better pricing because they can afford to buy in larger quatities. Cheated again Somerset!  (Jan 26, 2013 | post #87)

Downtown New Fountain

Again, despite where the $1,000,000.00 (ouch!) grant, or whatever, came from, the money could have well been spent on far better things than that square. Fully agree with the traffic jam comment and the perfect place for the "do-nothings " to hang out and do just that... nothing.  (Jan 26, 2013 | post #55)

Lake Cumberland Hospital Rip-Off

The prices I quoted came from my insurance companie's detailed billing statement. Thanks for the info on Danville, but I have found new doctors in Lexington and am quite happy to date.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #8)

You're welcome. You must share these experiences so others can make their decisions wisely.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #5)

Lake Cumberland Hospital Rip-Off

I was given a death sentence by these idiots only to find out it was a horrible mis-read and mis-interpreted reading. It's worth the ride to Lexington...  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #3)

Dirty Rich Mitch McConnell

I don't care how much money they have, just do what you promised the people you WORK for and stop the spending and closed doors, dirty politics. He's been there way too long and time for a fresh new face... just not a raging Liberal!  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #45)

Lake Cumberland Hospital Rip-Off

Attention at all residents that continue to be ripped off by this instituion. My latest case in point. CT scan done in Cumberland, cost $2,751.00. Re-done in Central Baptist Hospital (due to mis-diagnosis (as usual), $207.00! I rest my case...  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #1)

New resterant at the old Roses store

What Somerset really needs are some great "chain" restaurants to service our residents that have been craving some well needed diversity in eateries, besideds fast food joints. An Olive Garden, an O'Charlies, a Carrabas... etc. etc would be a welcome sight to see. We all need choices and now that we have liquor sales, hopefully they will come.  (Jan 24, 2013 | post #6)

They scanned my drivers license

If you are buying beer or alchohol I can understand it. However, if for other reasons not pertaining to weapons puchases and the like, it's just another way "big brother" is invading our privacy...or what's left of it these days!  (Jan 24, 2013 | post #43)

Bible study rules for public schools proposed

The teaching of ANY faith belongs in the chosen houses of that particular faith. It does NOT belong in the public school sytems of this country that all nationalities pay taxes for. If you want your children to have additional teaching in faith, spend your own money and send them to private schools.  (Jan 23, 2013 | post #94292)
