Anyone notice Hoby's Market has gone downhill since new o...

They've stopped carrying many lower priced items and have raised prices on things like 16 oz Western Family Cola which use to be .79 cents, but is now .99 cents. Or that they stopped letting you get cashback when you pay with your debit visa/mastercard. Every market with a brain gives cash back. I won't even go into how rude they have become. I hope this helps CC Market who has better meats and Organic Humboldt Coffee $9.99 a lb... Hoby's sells that crappy Buch Master Coffee for $12.99 a lb. That one's a no brainer lol. It's sad to see such a nice store go down hill over night. Not much reason left to shop at rude and over priced Hoby's.  (Jul 23, 2013 | post #1)

Dave's People: When life is a rodeo

Aww what a touching story and every womans dream husband. A man who knows to listen to his wife for his well being. May God be with you Dave in your time of such great loss.  (Jun 13, 2013 | post #1)

Embattled doctor opens Rio Dell clinic

I hope this was not posted to open old wounds. As it's very old news from 2007. Dr. Fisher is my doctor and I'm very grateful to have a doctor who listens so closely to my medical needs as he does. I do have some pain as folks my age over 50 do. And it's a shame that I have to drive across Humboldt when I have the best doctor in Humboldt practicing within steps of my front door. Dr. Fisher gives more than his medical expertise. He really gives back to the community, unlike those greedy doctors in Eureka and Arcata. Dr. Fisher provides food for people everyday his office is open. We have a modest gym that is for his patents to use free of charge. Dr. Fisher also supports musical talents in Rio Dell with the beautiful guitars he builds and welcomes people to play. Bottom line.. Dr. Fisher is a man with a heart for the less fortunate. We Love you Dr. Frank Fisher :)  (Jun 10, 2013 | post #1)

Search Continues in Humboldt County for Alleged Triple Mu...

It's been seven days since I first read about this. I live in a more outlying part of Rio Dell so I'm uneasy in the evening, even though Rio Dell is a few miles north of where they found his truck. You can't help but worry when someone does something so horrific as this :(  (May 14, 2013 | post #1)

Stay in Billings, Misery. we already have to many dumb snow birds in polluting the emerald triangle. Build a grow room, then you can grow all your chemical weed without fear.  (Mar 31, 2013 | post #1260)

Bottom feeder lowlife leeches from the armpit of California "Hollweird " is what comes to mind after reading this post. These creeps are sucking our rivers dry to keep their lawns green so they can live their plastic Monsanto consumer lifestyle. "Greedy self centered capitalist pigs" Pretty much sums up what you witch hunt for profit is. Go back to your chocking smog, road rage 405... No one in The Emerald Triangle needs bottom feeders like you  (Mar 1, 2013 | post #1214)

Are Term Limits Good For West Hollywood? Voters to Decide...

I've lived in West Hollywood off and on for the past 20 years. It's the city council members personal agendas and lack of term limits that have ruined weho for the non ultra wealthy lgbt person. This has undermined the very spirit that made this place once so awesome. Bottom line greed turned this place into the Faux Beverly Hills Lite it is today.  (Jan 23, 2013 | post #1)

Question of the week: Is it time to tinker with Prop. 13?

Fix the loophole corporations use to sidestep reassessment and leave home owners alone.  (Jan 23, 2013 | post #1)
