Married men lose interest in their wives -Why ?

Great topic. But it is not only husbands that cheat. Men seem to think they have a right to cheat whether they are married or not. Women cheat more today than ever before. We were well taught by men. Unfortunatley, in the Bible the first one to cheat was Eve. She left Adam's side to listen to satan. But he didn't intervene either. He liked what satan was saying as much as Eve. He liked the idea of being his own god and of course he could blame Eve for them both straying away from God which he did. At least Eve admitted she had been deceived. Adam blamed God and satan but not himself. It was Adam God came looking for after the fall not Eve or satan. They were all punished but God placed the blame of the fall on Adam where it belonged. After the fall Adam's descendants began taking two wives, then more and Solomon had 700. Imagine a woman in the Bible or in the present time having that many men and what will she be called? A "Ho" But taking more than one wife did not have God's approval. He simply shows man how far he had fell from his perfect will after becoming a sinner. So why were women punished for adultery or whoredoms and not men? The only place I can go is to what Jesus said in the New Testament? Matthew 5:27-28...That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. He set the record straight for MEN. Even to think of being with a woman other than your wife is sin. Thank you Jesus! Men have a problem with lust and love. They cannot seem to separate the two very well. Many men have these Old Testament mindsets and try to justify their lack of faithfulness to one woman. But again Jesus comes to the rescue of women: Mark 10:2-9 ...And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. It was the hard hearts of the men towards their wives that Jesus allowed men to divorce. They treated their wives so badly that God rescued the women by allowing the men to divorce them. Jesus went back to the origin of marriage, according to Creation---One man and one woman period. He came to straighten things out and He did. Jesus still holds the man responsible for the marriage above his wife. Ephesians 5:25-29... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, When a man cheats on his wife he has self-hatred. It has nothing to do with his wife in many cases. It makes him seem as if he has it altogether when he sees he can still get the attention of other women. They actually distort their God given power and authority by cheating on their wives and prove they are really at odds with themselves. But like Adam, they blame the woman or women in their lives, even their mothers. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. Yes wives are to be subject to their husbands in everything--everyt hing. Hello? But do you know when a woman knows she is loved, really loved by her husband he does not need to ask for the submission. She will run to give it to him and nobody better come along and say anything wrong about him because she will put them in their place. Men want this kind of "respect " without following Jesus' command to love their wives with the "Word" as the measure, using his sacrifice on the cross as the example. He died to make those who believe in Him his own exclusively. That is why women LOVE jesus. Amen...  (Jun 11, 2008 | post #213)
