To all those that reciceved there layoff on Friday. Thanks for all you have done for the company and the union. That's more then what your gonna hear from the company. Don't get me wrong it sucks. I don't want you guys gone just as much as you don't wanna go. In the automobile industry your taking chances when you get a job. Like the stockmarket sometimes it's up and sometimes it's down. We just so happen to work for a bankrupt asshole corporation that don't give a shit about nothing but money or lack of for that matter. After this past week I have offically given up on anything to do with this company. That corporate person was at the shop yesterday for questions on our pension. Anyone with less than five years don't get there pension. But in the pension book it states that if your there and it's before five years and the place closes you get your pension. Think I might contact a lawyer and maybe federal local and state government. I just wanna make sure there not screwing me and all my brothers. I would love to stay to the end but at this point it's not worth the bullshit. A person can be screwed around and told bullshit for only so long till they finally say fuck you shut the fuck up and get the hell away from me. Currently I am at that point. Everday I walk in that door I have to coax myself to stay or come to work. The company has absolutely droven everyone one of us insane! Anyone that harms themselves or ends up in the mental ward. The bloods on your hands collins & aikman! Thanks for your time folks have a wonderfull weekend. This will be last post. It was absolutely grand. Wooo Wooo Wooo!! Kickin Rocks Yes surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrr  (Apr 14, 2007 | post #685)

I talked to the front office yesterday. They told me that they talked to the people in Washington and they will have an answer on Friday. Washington is waiting for some paperwork from Chrysler. That's all I have on that one  (Apr 12, 2007 | post #679)

Well folks I have yet to hear from Tigger. I'm a little worried. With that said, I hope that she will find me or someone at work to talk too. On a good note Happy Easter to everyone! This day is truly a blessing. Some good time with the kid and my girl. Feels good to be off for a couple days. Just wish I knew I would have a job in a couple months. Oh well, I'm not going to let this damper my day or my life for that matter. We all will go on. Good things will come to us all in some way or another. Have a wonderfull day everyone and see you Tuesday!  (Apr 8, 2007 | post #670)

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone All of the bad feelings have disappeared Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin?for It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day. Look all around, there’s nothin?but blue skies Look straight ahead, nothin?but blue skies I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day.  (Apr 5, 2007 | post #652)

I wish I did know who this person was. I could try to help them and put them with the right people. I don't even care about anything going on at Port Huron at this point. My focus is on this. This is going to eat me alive till I can either help or talk to this person  (Apr 5, 2007 | post #649)

There is the ehs program through the company. I know that the union will be having a meeting in a couple weeks. The united way and a few other organizations will be there to go over some programs and things to help pay bills and insurance options and such. I don't know if there will be some type of counsling service or not. I don't have the number to ehs right now but I will make sure to get it today when I go to work  (Apr 5, 2007 | post #648)

I don't know if your post means that you plan on or are thinking about taking your own life. A few ppl. have approached me on this. I interuppted your post as you are frustrated with all that is happening with the company. That is why I respondid they way I did. Nothing is worth taking your life. This is just a job. We all have been put here for a reason. C&A's demise is no one's fault but C&A corporate. There is help out there including TAA and UI and I know that in a few weeks the U.A.W. will have a meeting to have a few people go over some other options as far as insurance and other help we can get for bills and things like this. If you would like to talk I would be more then happy to sit down with you in a private setting and discuss any problems you would like to go over. Remember no matter what you believe or people tell you I care more then you know. When I see people down and out I will do whatever it takes to cheer them up. Even if that means making a ass out of myself. Craig and Randy or Rick will talk with you also. We are all here for you. Most of the people in PH care for each other in a way that is unexplainable. Regardless if we like each other or not most of us will do whatever it takes for another sister or brother. Keep your head up Tigger and never never think no one cares. We all care! I'm here for you and everyone elese will be either right behind me or right next to me. You and I are part of something special and to be able to call anyone I have worked with at C&A a friend, makes my day. I'm here for you if you need me,remember that  (Apr 4, 2007 | post #645)

It's a shame that the stress of all this has effected everyone. The people are hurting. There minds are in twenty diffrent places. I wish I could do it all. Be the counsler and rep. the man who saves the company. I wish I could help everyone but realistically I can't do that. Deal with the problems as they come and sort out the garbage. I wish you all the luck Tigger. Keep your head up! If there isn't any bad things there wouldn't be good  (Apr 4, 2007 | post #643)

Amen brother! I will see you soon. I will make sure to hold you to that beer. I will have to get ahold of you and get you my number or you give me yours so we can stay in contact. The end is near and alot of good people will be in the same line together. As I have been saying. There was a door in front of me I opened it. That path lead me to a place I choose to follow that path. Now that door is closing. I and most of Port Huron will find another door and another path. Where that path takes us we will not know till we get there. I hope that most of us find ourselves on the same path. I proud to call myself Union! I'm more proud to call myself a fellow co-worker of most of the people at C&A Port Huron. I have enjoyed my time with all of you and hope to see most of you again. I've made some good friends here. I will always remember the people that I have worked with. I will remember the Seven days the hot summer days in Applique. I will remember when the people came together and pulled Port Huron out of a hole on a numerous occasions. I will remember that those people in that facility had something special and a company destroyed it. I remember the friendships we shared and the times we spent together in our second home. I will miss all of you and hope that something better comes to every single one of you. Good luck folks! It was real! Keep your head up and continue down a path you will find purpose and choose to do what you will with what you have! Have a wonderfull day  (Apr 3, 2007 | post #638)

Tigger even if it was negotiated in the contract they still wouldn't have to pay out a severance. Due to bankruptcy. The judge would make sure that all wages were covered first. Then all creditors would have to be paid. And then If and if's a big word there was money left they would have to pay out severence. And that's if it was written in the contract. Even after Collins & Aikman pays the creditors off through the sale of the company they will still owe. So what can they give if they have nothing to give. I'm not saying that the people don't deserve a severance, but where will the money come from  (Apr 3, 2007 | post #637)
