Michigan picked to win Big Ten

Well you were right, Michigan really DOES suck. I should not have given them the benefit of the doubt. If Michigan does not fire the head coach they should at least get rid of their defensive coordinator. They are not living up to their legacy of success at all. Not even close.  (Sep 9, 2007 | post #801)

I see your point. Spielman does come off cocky at times. They guy did walk the walk though. Not somebody to be messed with....  (Sep 8, 2007 | post #754)

The only thing that is OBVIOUS is you do not know what you are talking about. Let me be absolutely clear, I HATE Michigan and I was laughing my ass off when they lost but even YOU must acknowledge the real obvious here, Michigan did not respect their opponent, took them lightly, and got their ass beat plain and simple. Michigan will rebound strong and that will become very apparent when Michigan comes out looking to get their respect back vs. Oregon. The Michigan players are going to be like they were shot out of a cannon to prove to the world that if they show up ready to play and they respect their opponent they can play good football.  (Sep 7, 2007 | post #740)

Look man, Ohio State is just one school among many schools in this country. Individuals have to make choices for themselves. Clarett made is choices and look where he ended up. I do not understand your slam on Spielman. Spielman never got into trouble and was one hell of a football player in college and the pros.  (Sep 7, 2007 | post #739)

You say you are a logical guy huh? LOL>> your posts have been totally null of any logic. You continue to post BS about the non conference schedules of the Big Ten as if no other conferences have any creampuffs on their schedules. Another thing, what the hell is this WEIS worship you seem to be into? ND could have its worst season ever this year. Mark my words and watch Penn State and Michigan just destroy ND and we do not want to even talk about USC. I will be curious to see if Weis is still your hero, your boy at the end of the season.  (Sep 7, 2007 | post #738)

Don't be a hypocrite. AS YOU PREVIOUSLY POSTED, the SEC also schedules its share of 'lolly pops'. THE REAL QUESTION is with Ohio State being an exception, will the SEC EVER have a winning record vs. the Big Ten again? <grin> Certainly the SEC is a solid football conference and are in high regard but the Big Ten teams who have been winning vs. SEC opponents this decade have figured out that you run first and pass second vs. SEC opponents to: * run clock * assert will * force pass defenders to tackle * control tempo of the game There is a lot of football to be played and I am going to enjoy every minute of it! GO BUCKEYES!!  (Sep 6, 2007 | post #683)

The Michigan loss to App. State didn't just effect the Big Ten, it effected all of Division I college football. The Division IAA teams now think they can play with Division I teams and they will not be given as many opportunities to do so as a result of the Michigan loss. Michigan's loss will now also be a future finanical loss for some Division IAA schools who want to take a shot scheduling the so called elite programs. Division I schools with ranked teams will be less willing to do this.  (Sep 5, 2007 | post #681)

Ohio State has one of the top 10 college football programs in America and the best in the Big Ten this decade. Clarrett has not played at Ohio State for over 5 years. I much rather be a Buckeye than a Wolverine any day, any time. I decided to add 'The' to your new title, THE IDIOT.  (Sep 5, 2007 | post #680)

If you read my previous post you saw that I stated that OSU played alot of people vs. YSU and all 4 QBs played too. Funny thing is YSU plays App State almost every year in the Divison IAA playoffs. At least OSU came ready to play football unlike UM. Akron is not USC but they will play hard vs. Ohio State. Just saying I like MY TEAM from what I have seen so far. YOU did not address what I said about Western Carolina at all DID YOU? Why? Because you KNOW that the SEC plays its share of cream puffs too. SO STOP HATIN!  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #626)

Hey Dan, I know you have watched alot of football in your time. Even the most loyal fan knows when their team is in trouble and I believe you KNOW ND is in big trouble. They could only muster 3 points vs G Tech on their own home field? Then the ND defense allows 33 points on their own home field? That is NOT ND football and when a team goes on the road it gets much tougher. ND will be better down the line but not this year.  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #624)

ND travels to Penn State this weekend and I must tell you ND is going to lose BIG (42-3). Then ND travels to Michigan where they lose even BIGGER(56-3). ND will have a better team in the future but for now they will be taking some major beatings....  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #623)

Your attempt to cheapen the value of playing a team like Akron shows your lack of knowledge of Midwest football. I can assure you of one thing, Akron is FAR BETTER than Western Carolina who is routinely pummeled year in and out by different non-conference opponents from the SEC such as your beloved Florida. I know the Midwest Atlantic Conference teams play hard vs. the major college teams when they get a shot. Akron has either won their conference or contended for it the last two years and will be ready to play Ohio State. They will not lay down and they will not quit.  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #601)

CMB is an abbreviation for COLUMBUS, the home of the Buckeyes. 14KG stands for FOURTEEN CARAT GOLD. There is no such thing as 15KG at least for me and the rest of the world. Maybe for you perhaps <grin>. It is true that the Big Ten did not have a very good record vs. SEC opponents prior to the year 2000. How nice for you, a little cold towel to put on your feverish SEC forehead. But, yes, I will say again that after the year 2000 that all changed. The Big Ten HAS a winning record vs. SEC this decade. Now you can take that piece of solid fact and jam it in your SEC pipe and smoke it!  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #600)
