Marijuana - Hotchkiss, CO

Its true. Criminalization produces a criminal class because people are going to use no matter what and its no body's business if they do. Owners of the illicit drug trade can afford to buy off your elected officials, the best men and women that money can buy. They have purchased these people and they control them. Decriminalization is just a bone that they are throwing to a segment of the population that wants the right to grow marijuana and to make a profit from it. Countries that legalize drugs have fewer users and no users in prison for using. It should have occurred to most of us by now that someone profits from people going to prison as well. Thats no way to treat your neighbor.  (Oct 15, 2010 | post #12)

Baha'i rift: Baha'is upset with Orthodox Baha'i Faith

So you say but have yet to see you post anything about it that anyone could actually say was one thing or the other. Doris, listen closely, you need to demonstrate that you actually know something of value. So far you throw around words like "hogwash " and must think it conclusive and proof that you yourself are the arbiter of something besides your own knotted panties. You can do better than that. Lets see a real discussion of the facts and some proof of the Haifan interest in "free speech". You'll want to avoid the Chicago case of course because it demonstrates something contrary to your claim. Just do your best Doris, do your level best.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #2660)

Baha'i rift: Baha'is upset with Orthodox Baha'i Faith

Jeffrey, Isn't it true that Baha'u'llah has commanded all Baha'is to commune with those of all other religions with "joy and fragrance"? Take from that what you will. Your concession that others have the right to free speech is good. What about the admonition of Baha'u'llah to the believers in attendance the day a woman attempted to hit him in the face with a rock: "let her worship God as she sees fit". God has given us a choice. Always. If we choose to turn away from the laws and the counsel of the central documents of the faith then what can we say of ourselves? Who will turn on us at the last moment of our life? What a breathtaking few seconds that will be. Especially for someone who claims to be a Baha'i. Before its too late....  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #2653)

I'm interested in your proofs. Who is the guardian of the Baha'i Faith? Is it yourself?  (Oct 18, 2009 | post #2465)
